Hi, I'm Bill O'Reilly. Thanks for watching us tonight.
Why won't the Bush administration tell us the truth about terrorism? That is the subject of this evening's "Talking Points Memo."
President Bush continues to believe that the fight in Iraq will eventually make Americans safer. And I think he's right, but I also think he doesn't make a strong enough case. Let's keep it real simple so even the far left fanatics can understand it.
Does any clear thinking person believe that Usama bin Laden would not use a nuclear weapon to kill millions of Americans if he could? Does anyone say he would not do that? If you know someone who doesn't believe that, get away from them fast. Bin Laden would use anything he could to kill as many American civilians as possible.

I realize that the administration must be extremely cautious because of statements they originally made which turned out to be a bit less than correct. However, I believe that the administration has stated that there was no Saddam/Iraq-Al Qaeda link. In some national speech, I'd like to hear Pres. Bush discuss Salman Pak, al-Zarqawi, etc., but I think they're gunshy. I realize that most of the media isn't reporting these facts, but if the administration stated them nationally, the media would have to report them (while behind the scenes doing all they could to disprove them ;-)

Clean up on aisle three!
A good military strategy is to be quiet and let Al Queda make mistakes thinking Bush isn't on to them. Then they will slip up.
However, the media knows these things are out there and could investigate on their own. But they won't because that would help Bush politically.
.. I hope Fahrenheit 911 explains some of this ... I also hope the Take back the media clip on Bush in the Sarasota Elementary school is also dissected in the movie... http://www.takebackthemedia.com/true911.html

you beat me to the hit!
I'd like to buy that blowhard for what hes worth and sell him for what he thinks he is worth.
Which blowhard? There are so many...
President Bush has told us all along that there is a connection between Iraq and terrorism. There are things he can't say right now because we are IN a war and anything he tells us, he also tells the terrorists and their supporters.
Most of us are smart enough to go through the web, read the Iraqi blogs, read both the foreign and domestic press, read the CENTCOM briefings and we can figure out what's really happening that way. That is why most of us here on this board don't doubt what is being done.
Oh, Puke ! You shoulda warned me.... :(
Good shot, tx_eggman !

excellent way with words, Darlin'
See reply #s 3, 8, 19 & 41. I realize that most FReepers know & care about this. The majority of people & the lamestream media either don't know or won't put it out...if it fosters their lie that..."Bush lied to us when he said there was a link between Saddam/Iraq & Al Qaeda", etc.
If I were you, I would go back and see what the Dems have been saying about how they would fight terror. They did nothing in 1993 after the first attack on the WTC. Did nothing to stop the rise of Osama Bin Laden and his thugs in the 90's. They even attempted to negotiate a Middle East Peace Deal with a terrorist, Yasser Arafat. I have seen and heard nothing from them, maybe with the exception of Joseph Lieberman, that would make me think the Dems learned a thing from what happened on Sept 11, 2001. This isn't a stump speech for Bush, this is the cold hard reality. Wake up.
It is a war against militant "Islam".
Under any of the above ... where does/did Iraq fit in?
Research Salmon Pak, Zaraquawi to find your answer.
I didn't get that from the piece.
Meanwhile Osama sits in Pakistan happy as a clam.
As soon as we took Guadacanal the war on Japan stopped
Its all part of the big puzzle. I suppose launching an offensive on Syria or Iran from Iraq never crossed your mind did it?
