Report: al-Qaida Ranks Swelling Worldwide
Associated Press via AT&T Worldnet ^ | May 25, 2004 | BARRY RENFREW

Far from being crippled by the U.S.-led war on terror, al-Qaida has more than 18,000 potential terrorists scattered around the world and the war in Iraq is swelling its ranks, a report said Tuesday.

Al-Qaida is probably working on plans for major attacks on the United States and Europe, and it may be seeking weapons of mass destruction in its desire to inflict as many casualties as possible, the International Institute of Strategic Studies said in its annual survey of world affairs.

Osama bin Laden's network appears to be operating in more than 60 nations, often in concert with local allies, the study by the independent think tank said.

Although about half of al-Qaida's top 30 leaders have been killed or captured, it has an effective leadership, with bin Laden apparently still playing a key role, it said.

"Al-Qaida must be expected to keep trying to develop more promising plans for terrorist operations in North America and Europe, potentially involving weapons of mass destruction," IISS director Dr. John Chipman told a press conference releasing "Strategic Survey 2003/4."

Bottom Line: The raghead hoodlems are scared to death to have a Democracy anywhere around them. Remember the domino effect we were scared of with communism? Hey, the shoe is on the other foot.

Bush is doing a great job keeping the battles over there and not here. Opps, that isn't covered by our news.

The technical term for these is "Democrats." :)

Nuttin funny honey!

Whether President Bush wants to deny it or not, this IS a war on extremist Islam. If the Imans aren't going to call for a cease fire, then damn them all to hell.

Don't be naive. They have an unending supply of Al QUada recruits. They're taught to hate Christians and Jews from birth.

I wonder how meaningful these stats are. In other words, I bet these new al Qaeda members were certified bad guys who now have formal allegience with AQ. I'll bet the war is not causing NEW terrorists, just a shift in allegience.

Then again, there ARE all those democrats...

All the more reason to STEP UP the war on terrorism and reelect the world's #1 leader in this war, George Bush.

Unless of course one agrees with the immoral "appeasement" crowd.

Are there 72 virgins available for each of the 18,000 warriers?

Wow...Al Qaeda wants to kill us. Imagine that. It only took the liberal press what, 32 months since 9/11 to figure that out.

Why isn't the press, from anywhere for Gods sake, reporting how this scam against the world works? It is so simple to explain.

First, they raise the price of oil and the shieks get excess cash.

Second, the excess cash is funneled to Germany and France for weapons.

Third, insurgents are paid well to protect the hoodlem shieks.

Gees, you would think the press could figure it out already.

Ironically, you and I are paying at the pumps for a war against us.

Such reportage helps President Bush. Absent duress, they AIN'T gonna do it.

How in the world do they know this? Do we have a counter in there keeping tabs? What the hell does this mean except "shake and quake with fear of the multitude of terrorists" out to get your ass this summer. I am certainly glad that I was warned, as I thought it was ok and all was calm in the world of terrorism, as obviously do so many of my fellow countrymen.

Notice how each time they push the gas price just to the breaking point of American tolerance. They just did it again and cried uncle. But they got enough extra cash to give us problems for the next 2/3 years. We have seen this over and over again in the US.
