May all of us show our respects by helping in any way possible those they have left behind.

Prayers lifted for all our brave men and women who bring the fight to our enemies.

Please add my condolences, m-a, for Sgt. Mike's friend, S/Sgt. Chaney - and for your community, for the loss of young Jeremy Ridlen.

Please feel free to add any local tributes to this thread.

It was my hope that others may be inspired to mourn here, and honor our fallen troops, without any hurtful accusations.

I pray over each fallen troop - his/her family, community, and 'brothers-in-arms.'

I am not alone.

Our troops and their families are covered in prayer daily - by allies on the homefront, and around the world.

Merciful Heavenly Father,

Look down now on the friends, and family of the precious ones who are listed above who shall not be returning home. We ask that you will especially bless and heal their comrades remaining in the

1st Cavalry Division

1st Armored Division

1st Infantry Division

Ohio Army Reserve

Illinois Army National Guard

Arkansas Army National Guard

I Marine Expeditionary Force

II Marine Expeditionary Force

Father, comfort those who grieve. Send to the families the support they need at this time in very tangible ways. Grant them the blessing and gift of clear rememberance. When we grieve, we fear that we shall forget that smiling face, the dignified stance, the bouyant gait. Engrave these things on the heart so that there is confidence that they shall be retained forever. Grant them abundant faith to see them through this difficult time with their connection to You intact.

We ask that you will guide all of us for whom the sacrifice was rendered the humility to examine our lives so that we may be ever mindful that our daily activities undertaken in freedom and peace are paid for by the generosity of spirit of young men (and women) throughout our history. Let us learn in our examinations how we can live our lives in such a way so that when we finally go Home, the ones named above will greet us, shake our hands, and tell us, "you were worth it."

We thank you God, for hearing us, for you are our loving and approachable Father. We thank you for hearing us, for you are also our magnificent God, to whom all things are possible.

amen
