Has Kerry been TOLD (Clintons/Torricelli) NOT to Accept Nomination Before Autumn Polls Conducted???
xzins

Posted on 05/25/2004 5:40:32 AM PDT by xzins

Is there Any evidence that Kerry was served notice about his inability to make progress against a reeling President Bush?

The NYTimes power brokers can use all the Hanoi John Kerry, Kommunist Kerry, Viet Kong Kerry, Flip-Flop Kerry angles to DESTROY him and he knows it.

From the emails today.

While suturing a laceration on the hand of a 70-year-old Massachusetts farmer whose hand had been caught in a fence while working his livestock, the doctor and the old man were talking about Senator John Kerry possibly being in the White House one day. The old farmer said, "Well, ya know, that Mr. Kerry is what we call a 'post turtle'."

Not knowing what the old man meant, the doctor asked him what a post turtle was. The old man said, "You know. When you're driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a post turtle."

The old man saw a puzzled look on the doctor's face, so he continued to explain, "You know he didn't get there by himself, he doesn't belong there, he can't get anything done while he's up there, and you just want to help the poor stupid bastard get down so he can crawl away..".

Has Hitlery chosen her horse she is going to ride in on? Poor horse.

...It will have to be an giant, heavy-boned, horse... Clydesdale or Belgian, no doubt.

But still, Poor Horse...destined to be an swayback horse, thereafter. :(

"I don't like the Clinton's any more than anybody else in this forum....but they aren't hiding under the bed, or in every freakin closet."

"I am afraid you, and many others, underestimate the raw greed of these two."

Not at all, their greed is famous, and the former President likes to brag about it every four or five months, as we have seen.

I just keep in mind at no time did the former President receive even half of the votes cast on his best day in national politics, and in my view won a second term due far more to the fact that Bob "Its My Turn, Damnit!" Dole insisted on being the candidate than anything else.

When you consider the Thousands of political offices Lost during the Clinton's "era" by Democrats, you get a better perspective of just how "effective" they really were.

What they did best, it can be argued, as compromise the Democratic Party to the point of Minority Status. They lost the House after a forty year run. They lost the Senate. And they lost the ability to claim any "moral highground" due to their absurd stance on impeachment. Check out just how well the DNC has fared with the Clintonites "main man" McAuffile, running the show. Front loading the primaries has given the Democrats a distasteful candidate (among Democrats) for President in the arrogant, boring John F Kerry. I'll also point out that even with four years of "prep" the DNC has failed to remove Nader as a candidate competing for the exact same voters Kerry desperately needs.

I understand people like the Clinton's very very well. Which is why I don't "fear" them. Their time has come and gone. There is no national "demand" for Hillary Clinton to be President. Kerry clearly demonstrates that. There is no national "demand" for a return to power of the Impeached One, in any capacity. Their combined "negatives" in poll after poll after poll should dissuade anyone from "fearing them".

Alas, it doesn't. Some still think they are going to magically undo a decades worth of "image".

Not gonna happen in my lifetime, or yours. Just my opinion.

Clinton won both terms because of Ross Perot. I have zero doubt about that fact.

The Democrats are trying to pull the Republicans into the mud with them.

I do not agree that PIAPS is in the wings, but I do agree with your statement noted above.

The RATS are indeed trying to get Bush to use his best ammunition on Kerry now to exhaust the voters and innoculate Kerry from further attacks this fall. Rove is judiciously husbanding his ammo, principally because Kerry is so weak as a national candidate that we risk having him not nominated if we go heavily negative now.

When we look back on this race, we will note that the media and the RATS were duped into believing they could win this... and that keeping Bush at just parity with Kerry was essentially brilliant strategy by the President's team.... lulled the RATS and their media handmaidens into false optimism.

"Clinton won both terms because of Ross Perot. I have zero doubt about that fact."

I've always thought Clinton won his first term primarily due to the ineptness of former President Bush in that 92 campaign. Had X41 not reneged on his "no new taxes" pledge, there wouldn't have been a Perot candidacy. The anger within the GOP "base" put Perot on the ballots nationally. Without that anger, none of what occured would have...occured, if that makes any sense.

The second Clinton term, as I noted, I place squarely on Bob "Its My Turn, Damnit!" Dole. In the spring of 1996, Clinton was indeed politically vulnerable. Dole was a depressing candidate, to say the least. GOP turnout reflects it, as does his finally "tally". Perot's second run got votes as a result of both Dole's bad campaign and image established over the previous three decades (remember the SNL skits from the early 1980's with Dan Akroyd portraying Dole?) and the fact Perot had "name recognition".

X41 didn't listen to what the average American was saying, and it cost him a second term in office, in short. And gave us Bill Clinton, and Ross Perot.

"I'm suggesting they've ordered Kerry NOT to accept the nomination until the polls show how he's doing in the Autumn.

The idea of someone NOT accepting a sure nomination at a convention for just that purpose SHOULD cause reflection on covert reasons for why one would do that.

We should not simply BUY INTO Kerry's explanation."

For your notion to be valid, we have to ignore a half dozen recent examples of Kerry being "politically inept". This is just the latest example of it, the floating of a ridiculous "trial balloon" thats hurting him credibility wise, again.

You actually believe on one hand the Clinton's are this political "divine force" for the left, while at the same time ignore the fact they've led the Democratic Party into clear Minority Status, and have given the Party a seriously flawed far leftwing candidate with a anti defense voting record that stretches back two decades, huh?

I simply don't agree with that concept. Every fact that can be cited demonstrates the exact opposite in my opinion.

Kerry's contention that he won't be "nominated" until he "accepts" answers the question as to how HRC gets around the pesky problem of all those committed delegates Kerry holds. IMHO, the Democratic convention will turn into a Hillary love-fest. At its conclusion, the press will be saying "who is John Kerry? the name sounds familiar but ..." Kerry will slink off into the Vietnamese sunset and the press will anoint HRC the nominee. It won't matter what Joe six-pack democrat thinks - as if they would object - and there will be no way for them to voice an objection.

I wonder who was the one who floated this idea. I am convinced that this strategy was conceived by Clintonites. The question is whether they convinced some campaign leader to go along with floating it.
