A great indicator of the truth taught in a church is how it's membership votes.
Err... sorry, that's not quite how you would measure the truth taught in a church. I am Catholic and will vote for Bush and most of my fellow believers will do the same rejecting Kerry's anti-Catholicism (which is as bad as the ones expressed by some here). So, if tomorrow Southern Baptists vote for Kerry, that means that there is no truth in their teachings? No. Jewish voters traditionally vote Democrat. Does this reflect on their religious teachings? No.

I am not sure how you are separating truth from action.
Are you suggesting there are those that know the truth (I am exclusively speaking of Christians here) and yet disregard it to act on behalf of the opposite?
Christian truth is absolutely clear and the Democrat platform stands against that truth. There is no way a church teaching the truth will retain members that stand against it and vote democrat. That is not to say they would have to vote GOP, only that Christian truth is not cohesive with the democrat platform.
