It was a great speech, clearly enunciating the plan. Nobody could have watched that without feeling reassured.
Except I guess for Democrats who didn't want the country to be reassured...

Ken, for your sake I just did a quick peek and saw Biden's mug and fled back to Fox.
The roundtable needs their hands held, evidently. They need to get a grip.

This has been a great speech. Too bad the majority of Americans will only get to hear truncated and edited sound bites. Yes. It was an excellent speech. The left can't complain that he doesn't have a plan and clear vision for Iraq....but of course we know they will anyway.
My only hope is that events in Iraq shut them up just like the economy and job growth has shut them up about that issue.

It was a great speech and I actually was able to watch, instead of watch, turn away & post to FR, watch, turn away & post to FR....
I could see a bit of road rash, but over all he did quite well. I watched on C-Span and it ended with a great version of "Stars and Stripes Forever."

Okay, you're both aware of my situation. That's all I wanted. Please ping me if there is a thread on the 'postgame' of this event.

Cripes, Ceci twice in one night. I should have raced out while FR was down, and bought those darts. Fred would have one right in the middle of the forehead right now.

The timing of this particular event is certainly suspicious. The last couple were suspicious IMO

CBS affiliate in Portland, LibOR, is NOT carrying the speech. Isn't this the Dan Blather network? I don't watch it, but if memory is correct Dan anchors the news on CBS. At any rate, no speech.

Unsurprising Biden reaction. Ignore him I do, just reporting how Biden went knee jerk after the speech.

Give me an honest answer. Are there more or fewer terrorists who hate America in the world today than there were 16 months ago?I suppose it depends on whether you consider someone who has trained to do terorism, but has not done any terrorism against the U.S. a terrorist. If you do, there are probably fewer--otherwise there are more.
For instance, before we got involved in World War II there were fewer Nazis killing Americans then afterward--is it therefore your veiw that Pearl Harbor should have gone unanswered, or that we should have only fought Japan and not gotten involved in the war in Europe?
To: Howlin
Thanks for the ping. I don't have cable, so am not received the speech.
