I'm watching and listening...but don't think the speech is what I'd call stellar.

Power outage here since 2pm......18-wheeler overturned down the road. Just got back electricity, and couldn't get on FR until now w/timings out. I'll catch up w/the thread later, but has anything been announced that was surprising?
To: Peach
None of the broadcast stations/networks in D.C. are covering it. Not even PBS. Only cable. If you're on a budget or just can't afford cable, you're out of luck in this area.
To: jimrob; John Robinson
Look, I don't know if this is some kind of coincidence or what, but at the same time FR crashed, so did my DSL (Alltel). For ten minutes I could get nothing. (All local network hardware checked out okay). Then for twenty minutes more, I could get anything EXCEPT freerepublic.
Ask me anything.

FR was down for the first half hour of the speech.

The five point plan is all related to getting Iraq to the point of fully functioning independent free democratic society! Tho I cannot repeat the steps exactly-it is clear that it streches from from Negropointee(sp) our ambassador to Iraq's authority to help see that the money flowing into Iraq is USED FOR ITS DESIGNATED PURPOSE (satellite smaller embassys will be located in major cities in order to facilitate this) to the interim council and its set-up, the proposal to hold FREE ELECTIONS WHOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO in Iraq next January, to the ensuring that the police force in Iraq faces the enemy of terrorism knowing that he or she is protecting the future of his or her own country!
The END of this speech is DYNAMITE!! Going on now!!! WOW!! TWO VISIONS: TERROR vs LIBERTY AND LIFE....this clash is dying!!!! SPEECH OVER WILD WILD APPLAUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! STANDING OVATION!!! 32 min speech
Very good speech. Televised by local NBC affiliate ... not ABC or CBS.
To: OldFriend
You got it. I think I've found the magic bullet that will get me through the election cycle.
