They Said It! (Boston City Councilor James M. Kelly)
Republican National Committee ^ | May 24, 2004

"'It's going to make a mockery out of the nomination process for the Democratic Party,' said Boston City Councilor James M. Kelly. 'People come from across the country, and the purpose of them being here is to nominate a candidate for the party.' If Kerry goes ahead with the delay, Kelly predicted 'frustration and anger' among city residents and convention delegates who find, on top of traffic jams, that their part in history has been taken from them." Being from Alabama originally, I like the RNC mascot of the Elephant of course, as a Crimson Tide fan. But, dang, I just love that jackass as the mascot of the socialist democrats. They are all such jackasses and that is being the most kind word I can say here in mixed company. Sorry ladies.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if Kerry lost his home state over this?

P.S. Dems give donkeys a bad rap. Donkey in Shreik is one of my favorite characters.

I can't wait until the morning after.

Boston can get pretty riled up if they think it's a looney enough cause and this ... this has got to be the looniest.

Either no-one shows (can't you see all of the talking hairdo's trying to 'cover' a convention that isn't?), or the pull-back threatened by Boston's finest allows the riot to occur and escalate.

Blacks, whites, straight and queer ... anti abortion/pro abortion, anti/pro death penalty, anti/pro war ... you get the picture.

Boston accuses Kennedy/Clinton link for the mess.

Oh, this is gonna' be good.

Infomercial for Kerry who won't be nominated there. It will also be a fund raiser and guess what.......it will no doubt get more good press coverage than the Repub convention... Hope this blows up in kerry's face.

Well, it wouldn't be the first time John Kerry has used and abused the people of Boston.

The delicious irony in all of this is that John F'n Kerry is trying to get around a rule that the DEMS imposed. It was THEIR idea that once a candidate is nominated for president, their campaign funds are fixed at $75 Million.

I think that Kerry is admitting that he doesn't have much money in the ole campaign war chest and wants more time to raise more cash to last him into the fall campaign.

Teresa has probably told him that he's not mortgaging another house to fund his campaign.

I think this will have the same effect as the Wellstone "funeral" did nationwide and in Mass. Although Massachusetts would pull the lever for any Dem for president, a lot of them hate Kerry and this would push a lot of people over the top....
