23 May News Report
BAGHDAD, Iraq - There was a news report published May 23, 2004, which suggests that Lieutenant General Ricardo Sanchez, Commander of Multi-National Forces-Iraq was aware of, and in some instances, present at Abu Ghraib while detainee abuse was occurring. This report is false, and Lt Gen Sanchez stands by his testimony before Congressional committees.

The WP story was unsourced double heresay with a lawyer involved.Well, that demolishes that argument.

"she'd the one who was supposedly there ON THE GROUND!"
AND, there's the rub - SHE. They are ham-stringed. Nothing much can be done about Gen. Karpinski because she is a she and the women of the world will rise against whomever. /sarcasm/
Like who really cares. Woman or not, if she is complicit in this mess, she should be held responsible.

You noticed that too! I've hardly heard her mentioned in the news reports, and she'd the one who was supposedly there ON THE GROUND!
It appears other are noticing the gap between privates and sergeants and the higher-higher ups:
Why Can't She Take It Like a Man?

Newsmax.com ^ | 22 May 2004 | Dr. Jack Wheeler We know conclusively that the Abu Ghraib abuse scandal is as phony as a Bill Clinton sex denial because there are no calls for the resignation or indictment of the one individual most responsible for the abuses. That would be the officer in charge of Abu Ghraib and all U.S. military prisons in Iraq, the commander of the 800th Military Police Brigade, Army Brigadier General Janis Karpinski. And why have there been no calls for her resignation? |

MSNBC ran a poll a couple of days ago.
"Are you tired of hearing the Prison stories?"
It was running about 66% YES, 33% no.
Of course, whether MSNBC gets the hint is a whole other story.

The news I believe on Friday had a headline Prisoners forced to swear in Islam, Oh my GOD what torture!!!!!! This is so out of hand the press says whatever they what They will do anything to make Kerry the next President.

That's why on Friday I posted a Black Out Media Day.Wanted everyone for one day do not buy a paper and watch the news until the facts are reported.

Yes, I am a Christian, yet I keep finding myself wanting to find a vat of tar, and some feathers. Maybe a pitchfork or two. The lies keep coming without any letup. Right now the media has two favorite topics--the prison "scandal" and the "wedding" bombing. The fact that it was proven there was no wedding party at that site, nor any children killed, is not being mentioned, or if it is, it's buried somewhere in the depths of the (badly written) articles.

You have to maintain perspective. Remember, for the liberals:
Rule #1: A lie isn't a lie unless you get caught in it. Then, you print a retraction.
Rule #2: Tell a lie enough times or tell enough lies, and part is bound to stick. If you get caught, revert to rule #1.

The Media and the Democrats are in full campaign mode, and like BJ Clinton did, they will ignore as many of the rules of civility and decorum as they can get away with. And, as we see, they get away with a lot, as the new media has yet to overtake the old media. But as Rush said, they see their end coming and so they are becoming ever more strident and desperate. They recognize that their message will never sell on the merits, and can only attack and attack. The public is tiring of it and they will pay in November. That their actions could harm the nation is of no concern to them, because they are going slowly insane.

I knew I'd be disgusted all day, so I didn't even bother.

The Post story is outright SLANDER ... even worse was that the military brass were all drug up to the hill to testify and the press wasn't even there to cover it. Time after time the Senators would read these outlandish charges from the press and pose questions as to their accuracy and each time the brass would dismiss them, UNDER OATH. The press continues however to smear these good officers and pretend as though there are questions we don't know answers to or continuing to present misleading documents which they further use out of context to try and perpetuate their stories and smear our good troops. Read my notes about last week's hearing
here!

Media Black out? We've canceled newspaper delivery until they can get facts straight and stop the propaganda. We now get the paper for free. The media doesn't get it and they don't care.
To: Ragtime Cowgirl
Though we are Christian we still need to think of ways we can use civil disobedience to get the word out about the crimes and misdemeanors of the left.
