CRAWFORD, Texas President Bush (search) suffered cuts and bruises early Saturday afternoon when he fell while mountain biking on his ranch, White House spokesman Trent Duffy said.
Bush was on the 16th mile of a 17-mile ride when he fell, Duffy said. He was riding with a military aide, members of the Secret Service (search) and his personal physician, Dr. Richard Tubbs.
"He had minor abrasions and scratches on his chin, upper lip, nose, right hand and both knees," Duffy said. "Dr. Tubbs, who was with him, cleaned his scratches, said he was fine. The Secret Service offered to drive him back to the house. He declined and finished his ride."

"I want pictures . . ."
Yahoo.com just posted photos of the President arriving in Austin for Jenna's graduation party.
The scratches/bruises make the President look even more ruggedly handsome; however, he (the President) DEFINITELY sustained 'tougher' injuries than Kerry's scratches in Vietnam!
NOTE: I'm too technologically challenged to post the pixes; I hope one of you can!

"He also looked good in that flight suit!"
He sure did!
Note what Kerry said:
Kerry Remark on Bush's Fall from the Bicycle
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1140597/posts
"President fell off bike today... Kerry told reporters in front of cameras, 'Did the training wheels fall off?'... Reporters are debating whether to treat it is as on or off the record... Developing..." (from Drudge)
Kerry himself fell off the bike, fell, while skiing, and fell several times, while snowboarding.
For him to make such a mean-spirited remark, when Bush fell, shows what a low-life Kerry really is.

U.S. President George W. Bush (news - web sites) walks from Marine One in Austin, May 22, 2004. Bush suffered minor abrasions after falling off a mountain bike while cycling on his Texas ranch on Saturday, the White House said. The 57-year-old Republican president had cycled 16 miles (25 km) of a 17-mile (27-km) afternoon bike course when he toppled over while riding downhill on what the White House described as soil loosened by recent rainfall. 'He had minor abrasions and scratches on his chin, upper lip, his nose, right hand and both knees,' White House spokesman Trent Duffy told reporters. REUTERS/William Philpott |
Sounds as though his mountain bike survived the fall, too, unlike Kerry's several-thousand dollar wheels.
Kerry must have sleepless nights worrying that a cut on his face might ruin his looks.
The difference between Bush and Kerry is honesty.
There is a LOT of face to worry about after all.
"destroy the dark, restore the RIGHT"
He fell off bike force one?
Yeah, but you oughta see the other guy!
Wait a minute, the other guy was the ground!
(Besides, he follows MY orders and I already decided...no Make-up!)
It truly frightens and sickens me to think that there is even one person in this country that believes Kerry is qualified to serve this country as President.....God help us all if Bush doesn't prevail in November.
Isn't President Bush supposed to do a televised speech to the nation Monday night? Now he has boo-boos :-(
I've never heard of anyone wearing a mouthguard while biking before
TV makeup can do wonders.
No wooden ones for Dubya.
This is not hot, and I'm well south of Crawford, it's just normal springtime weather in south central Texas. I'll admit it was mite steamy today, but not hot. Hot comes in late June, July, August and even early September.
