CRAWFORD, Texas President Bush (search) suffered cuts and bruises early Saturday afternoon when he fell while mountain biking on his ranch, White House spokesman Trent Duffy said.
Bush was on the 16th mile of a 17-mile ride when he fell, Duffy said. He was riding with a military aide, members of the Secret Service (search) and his personal physician, Dr. Richard Tubbs.
"He had minor abrasions and scratches on his chin, upper lip, nose, right hand and both knees," Duffy said. "Dr. Tubbs, who was with him, cleaned his scratches, said he was fine. The Secret Service offered to drive him back to the house. He declined and finished his ride."

Maybe if Bush would own NOT ONE but TWO of those $7,000 apiece bicycles - as John Effin Kerry does - he wouldn't have taken a tumble /sarcasm............
I am not kidding about Kerry bikes - they cost around $7,000 each, and he owns two of them, they are "Serratos" or "Serranos" something like that......(not into pro biking, but I do ride my 20 year old Schwinn regularly!!
It was pretty warm here in New York today. It's cooled off quite a bit now, and their is a nice cool breeze blowing.
Well I'm no pro cyclist (just a Category 4/Masters, with a real job). There are two kinds of cyclists with $7000 bikes. The first are real pros, and the sponsors pay for the bikes. The second are posers. Kerry is a poser.
Heh heh. If you don't crash once in awhile, you're not riding fast enough.
I am sure the Secret Service immediately rushed to secure Dick Cheney. Geez, what is the point of this kind of story being touted?
In the amount of time it takes to say, "John Efin Kerry", GW suffered more serious injuries than sKerry did during 4 months in Vietnam!
Bush was mountain biking, on mile 16 of 17. His doc said loose topsoil from recent rain is the likely cause. Kerry was riding in Concord, MA (yep, we're talking bike roads in a city) and fell when his bike "hit a patch of sand" LOL
Might need make-up for Monday night speech to the nation.
I am right with you on that one. Smart, talented, moral & yummy! :)
"Notice Bush isn't blaming a Secret Service agent for knocking him down."
That was the first thing I noticed....unlike his opposition he took full responsibility for the spill. It shows who has character...and who doesn't.
It looks like you can see it now...click on the link and click the image to enlarge.
"I bet Bush doesn't have any frickin' daisies on his biking shorts, either!"
Did I miss something? Did Kerry have daisies on his shorts???? Damn!
May I borrow that spectacular quote?
"...... he is yummy."
Ditto....big time ditto!
Compare and contrast...
For some reason, kerry wears a daisy on his sportswear. who the hell knows why, but more importantly, do we really want to know??;)
No argument here! :-)
"...........GW suffered more serious injuries than Kerry did during 4 months in Vietnam!"
Excellent point.
'fraid I can't do that.
