Is it raining there? Ahhhhh...its 75 and clear in Juneau. Five cruise line ships in town and TOURIST everywhere...I wish I could get a Freeper party going here! But, alas... this is the liberal capital of our Fine Republican State of Alaska. Yes... we have them... but we keep them well contained.

Libertina, if someone has a photoeditor (Microsoft PhotoEd or something else) and can reduce the picture sizes to something like 64k in size (~640x480) I can put them up. But I've got a VERY slow connection (26kbps on a dry day) and can't handle megapixel-size stuff. The party would be over before the pix arrived.
(P.S. try "Shawn char" -- "shawn" as in Sean Connery, and "char" as in what the BBQ is good for later on in chapter parties. *\;-)

Hey Sean Char - I don't think we have a photo editor here :( But that just means that BTD can deal with them at home LOL ) Thanks for the offer though. I have a server too and will go check it out, but we haven't found out yet if Lori's old computer has a USB port to connect the camera. You guys have GOT to do something about your congressional delegation for that fine state.... Jeesh.. what a bunch of loose cannons you guys are dealing with... I feel for you. Thanks, Integrityrocks. We're trying, believe me. But we have too many liberals here. And the state party didn't help us any by allowing a 4-way primary fight in the race for the 8th Congressional, Jennifer Dunn's once solidly R seat.
But I heard news late this week that "Patsy" (for her defence of His Impeachness) Murray's seat might not be as safe as is thought.

Party's starting to wind down a little, either that or the crush has moved out of the computer room. Spanaway Lori, our hostess, has an awesome house and up to a few minutes ago we had about eight FReepers and a dog crammed into her computer room. It wasn't designed for that occupancy and I'm afraid the feds are gonna come after us...

Integrity, I'm many dozens of miles away but... they predicted showers and lightning this weekend, but I've seen little more than a brief wimpy drizzle. (As opposed to the stout drizzle we usually get.) Not even up to "rain", much less "showers" or "downpours."
Sigh. Looks like the moss is going to die again this year.

Lots of rain on the way down here from Shoreline. Some real downpours.
I've gone from beer and barbecue to desserts. It's a good gathering, although not as big as the Christmas party.

My camera requires a floppy drive, BtD's a USB port, and my cellphone a USB port plus software -- don't have any laptops accessible that meet all those requirements. (Ahem, LibreOuMort...? For the sake of the Chapter...? *\;-)
