Michael Berg Is Insane
Judson Cox, May 17, 2004
Few people take Michael Savage seriously when he claims "liberalism is a mental disease." But, how else would you describe a man who, after watching al Qaida cut off his sons head, blames President Bush and describes his sons murderers as "sick people" who have "some good in them"? How do liberals like Mr. Berg blame President Bush for al Qaida killing three thousand people on 9-11? Do the terrorists bear none of the blame -- are they also sick people with some good in them? How can liberals equate the deaths of over half a million Iraqis, tortured and killed by Saddam Hussein, to the deviant actions of 12 American prison guards? How can they continue to deny Saddams links to al Qaida?
U.S. District Court judge Harold Baer, has made a legal finding that Iraq was behind the 9-11 attacks. His ruling was upheld by the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals.
According to Czech intelligence, Mohammed Atta met with Iraqi intelligence agents in Prague just prior to the 9-11 attacks.
Papers found in Iraqi intelligence headquarters document Saddam's efforts to establish a relationship with al-Qaida. Osama bin Ladens top aid visited Iraq in 1998 at Saddams request.
How can they say that military courts are insufficient to punish 12 prison guards, but too harsh for terrorists and enemy combatants? How is it that they always find excuses for the actions of our enemies, but always manage to condemn our soldiers? Why do they insist that every picture of every act of abuse committed by 12 American prison guards be made public to make America look as bad as possible, but do everything in their power to prevent everything from the 9-11 footage to the execution of Nick Berg from being shown? Why will they not admit that we are at war with an enemy that seeks to destroy us? How can they contend that the war in Iraq is a racist, imperialist "war for oil," when our dead lay piled in the streets, killed by terrorists loyal to, and funded by, Saddam Hussein?
Liberals insist that America is complicit in a "cycle of violence." They see America as the aggressor, much as do the al Qaida terrorists who beheaded Nick Berg, supposedly in retaliation for the Abu Grhaib prison abuses. What was the beheading of Daniel Pearl in retaliation for? How about the four American contractors who were burned, mutilated and dragged through the streets of Fallujah? What was the motivation for retaliation behind 9-11, the USS Cole bombing, the Marines killed in Yemen in 1992, the first World Trade Center attack, Khobar Towers, the embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania or any other example from a list of Islamic terrorist bloodshed too long to enumerate? Liberals, like Madeline Albright, agree with the terrorists that all of these attacks against innocent Americans are in retaliation for the Crusades at their root!
Lets look at the Crusades:
Muslims invaded Europe , and imposed their religion upon Westerners by force. Christian armies drove them back. The Crusades lasted about 200 years, but freed Europe from Islamic rule for nearly 1,000 years. Islamic fascism has always been the aggressor.
It is gut check time for America . I urge each of you to watch the video of Nick Bergs execution, and Daniel Pearls and 9-11. See the true face of our enemy. They have vowed to destroy us, and they are doing so one person and 3,000 at a time. They dont care if you are Republican or Democrat, capitalist or socialist, Christian or an enlightened liberal atheist college professor. They will kill you even if you are a movie star or a politician. If liberalism means that you cannot recognize, condemn or fight your enemy (or support your own country), then liberalism is a mental disease -- it is suicidal not only for the individual, but it will kill us all if we allow it to undermine our will to fight and win. There is something very wrong with a man who would denounce the Patriot Act and condemn President Bush after watching terrorists behead his son. Michael Berg is either insane or he is a traitor!
Judson Cox is a political columnist from the mountains of North Carolina. He is quickly gaining recognition as one of the most popular and influential voices of his generation. As a college student, and a young entrepreneur, he has a unique perspective on matters of politics, economics and culture.
Finally, a Clinton-appointed federal judge, U.S. District Court judge Harold Baer, has made a legal finding that Iraq was behind the 9-11 attacks -- a ruling upheld by the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals last October. When some judge discovers a right to gay marriage in a 200-year-old document written by John Adams, Americans are forced to treat the decision like the God-given truth. But when a federal judge issues a decision concluding that Iraq was behind the 9-11 attacks, it is a "misperception" being foisted on the nation by Fox New Channel.
I guess we've all heard the story that Berg must have been in US custody and it was really Americans that murdered him.
One of the 'clues' is the white plastic chair, similar to ones seen in prison videos.
Well, this afternoon I was watching a TV show about the capture of Saddam Hussein.
Lo and behold, as the cameraman videoed the shack Saddam was living in, what should be in the shack??
A white plastic chair.
They must be endemic to Iraq. ( my daughter has 4 on her front porch)
No, just your garden-variety Liberal.
Homosexuality is a historical mental disease that was removed by The American Psychiatric Association from its diagnostic list of mental disorders in 1973.
Barney Frank (D-Mass.), reputedly the wittiest man in Congress and most certainly its only openly gay member, stop to pose for a picture with me after his lecture at USC on April 22.
Frank is one of my favorite politicians; I've often said I hope he'll be the first gay and Jewish president. (This picture would really be worth something then!)
Yes, someone has a picture of it somewhere around here. Those chairs are as common in Iraq as they are at Walmart here.
I met a woman a couple of days ago, who thinks and talks like Michael Berg.
Over educated (a MD) and a Kucinich supporter. Mid 50s age bracket.
The most simple way I can describe these people, is being much more upset with Pres. Bush than with al Qaeda.
If they had their own man in the whitehouse, doing nothing about the bin Ladens, they would be fine with it.
Later, we would all be phuqued, perhaps whilst humming (in unity) sectarian verses of "Kumbaya."
That's putting it mildly. Whether his kid was beheaded or not.....
Sorry, my empathy for him has evaporated.
First of all, I think it was NOT Berg in the video. He would have had to shrink and change quite a few other characteristics, some of them impossible to change.
Was it Arad? Quite possibly, even probably (I've seen a pic of Arad with that thick tatch of hair digitally "clipped", and the picture laid side by side with the victim pic that is in partial profile shows a pretty perfect match.
Apart from that, there's another thing (which I believe was on that site you looked at): Arad had his legs operated on, so they were useless. Did you see any kicking when the victim died, or even any scrabbling to move? Didn't think so. Yet, that is a quite involuntary thing that is well nigh impossible to not have happen in a situation like that.
It would also go some way to explain the quality of the video itself, more consistent with something shot long ago, not on current equipment.
Finally, if it was Arad in the video, the video could have been made at any time after his legs were operated on, which gives a span of time several year wide. The pics taken before his shootdown (some of which were taken at a very young age) might not be too good indicators when we're talking thin-bodied or not, but the skull shape, neck, and a few other features are pretty unchangeable. And those actually say that the Arad hypothesis is a pretty good one.
If it was Arad in the video, what happened to Berg is anyones guess. He could be dead, even beheaded like in the video. Or he could still be alive. His father's reaction is so off the charts that what it means is difficult to say, but it's not a normal reaction to the death of your son.
Bump
More likely this is an example of cognitive dissonance not working. The brutal death of his son could have should have shown him the absurdity of his extremely liberal views. Instead, he has retreated farther into them. Grief and, perhaps, guilt can do strange things, even to rational people.
This sad wreck of a man deserves our prayers more than our scorn. I realize that is easer said than done.
To merely label Michael Savage as a moron with access to a radio microphone would be a disservice and insult to morons every where. I have the pleasure of listening to him here in Florida as I drive and scream at the car's radio. His accusatory hyperbole is beyond stupidity. He is the classic example of a dangerous ideologue who never allows facts or critical thinking interfere with his recurrent plea to a tiny audience of conspiracy theorists who see doom in every political or public policy act. Compared to the idiocy of Savage, Limbaugh is a scholar.
Berg's statement proves how out of touch leftist pacifists are. It is stunning to think there are people this stupid out there.
No, just your garden-variety Liberal.
Like I said, he's a psychopath/leftist. I know, it's redundant.
his father is experiencing no loss---the old man is a POS using the death of his son to advance his commie loving, liberal ideas--I will be happy to tell him so face to face anytime, anyplace-
"Liberals cannot admit that pure evil exists. For them to do so would negate their 'moral equivalency' arguments."
Excellent point.
Of course their moral relativity is a mere sham and facade, since they are convinced (against all reason, logic, history and real life) that they alone have the truth and that conservatives are eeeevil.
Note the pure unadulterated mouth frothing hatred of GWB.
I'm with you. People like him really frighten me.
He sees what he wants to see and damned the proof otherwise.
I've maintained for years that the brains of hardcore liberals do indeed function differently from those of normal people. A hardcore liberal has little, if any, interest in facts. Their emotions override their intellect in overwhelming fashion, which is backward from normal people.

I've read a bunch of threads about Nick Berg, and as far as I am concerned, there is way way more to this story than is being told. Way way more. I hope we find out. The Nick who got beheaded in the video (I just saw the pic, not the vid) looks very different from the guy at the business fair. Someone up the thread mentioned that some pictures were distorted; I clicked the link but couldn't find what he was referring to.
The whole thing is weird. Supposedly Nick was pro-war and pro-Bush - the sole evidence is his rabid father saying that, probably for effect. I am very sorry the poor guy had to die, and in such a way. It's just that there is something weird and unsavory about the whole story.
I find him a bit hard to take. When I first heard him I wondered whether or not he had eyeholes in his pillowcases. The anger borne of at times understandable frustration is what is so often (incorrectly) pointed to as conservative hate. Some may find it entertaining (occasionally I do) but if he is really trying to preserve Boarders language an culture he needs to stop preaching to the choir an begin evangelizing.
