Cops will begin checking trucks entering the Big Apple and other major cities today after the FBI received information that terrorists may use truck bombs to attack high-profile targets like the Empire State Building, The Post has learned.
NYPD and Port Authority cops will check trucks entering the city via bridges and tunnels, sources said. They will also check trucks already in the city if they look suspicious.

Police are taking a closer look at trucks entering New York City after warnings from the FBI.
The Feds say that terrorists may use truck bombs to attack high-profile targets.
Officers from the NYPD as well as the Port Authority have been stationed at bridges and tunnels.
Officials say they will also be pulling over trucks already in the city if they look suspicious.
An FBI spokesman says there is no specific information about an imminent threat nor anything specific to New York.
Yeah, no kidding.
I just Googled the title and think I may have found that very bulletin, or something close, posted on a fire chiefs assoc. website (I'm not posting the link here).
I don't think they should be posting that for everyone to see.

I did a scenario write-up with a JTF group. Cabs and hot-dog stands. Ubiquitous, invisible, easy to put in place then walk away from and significantly owned/operated by muslims.
Guess driving into NYC in a white van wearing a kaffiyeh wouldn't be prudent.
I'd be more worried about someone with a cart selling Khlav Kalesh and Crab Juice.

Taxis, definitely. How hard is it to fake a taxi or steal one and load it up with semtex.
The hot dog stands are already bombs, they all have propane tanks surrounded by the metal cart. They're on hundreds of corners in midtown and downtown. Any one of them could kill dozens if exploded at the right time.
