Bump if you think it's time to stand up, be counted, write your congresspersons, and demand the right to marry more than one woman!
Why not? Maybe the current Mrs. Joe Republc would appreciate some help around the house.
Again, why not? After all....
- It doesn't HURT anyone.
- It only affects what happens in the bedroom.
- It's a PRIVATE matter.
- Only narrow-minded Christians have insisted on this in the past.
- We are broad-minded and advanced enough as a culture to handle this. Forget the lessons of the past. In fact, don't even look at tradition.
- If we ask the Mass. Supreme Court to look into it, I'm sure it's constitutional.
- If Adam and Steve can do it, why can't Joe R. and Brittany and Tiffany?
Again, it's my OWN business, and who does it HURT?
Let's have a National Call for Polygamy Day. How about June 21, the day after Father's Day? Let's all call Congress, ABC, NBC, CBS, the local paper, and DEMAND the right to marry more than one woman.
Oh, and let's not forget to call NOW, Ms. magazine, and maybe Barbara Walters.
In the meantime, I'll look for a bigger bed...
Facetiously yours,
-- Joe
Huh? What planet did you just zip in from? What is "talk?" :-)
Would you consider Hustle, West Coast Swing or NC2S?
The fact that they can't is merely more evidence of rampant speciesism, and something that no doubt will be corrected by an enlightened Kerry administration.
That is just speciesism. We need to fix this immediately.
(But don't trust the cats...)
How about polygamy days at Disney World?
The only acceptable alternatives are merengue, the bump, and the frug.
Do you really want another Mother-in-Law?
Didn't you leave something out?
Guess I have to keep looking. Actually, I am going out of town this weekend to meet a lady I was matched with through eharmony.
Monogamy = same thing
You forgot: one to open jars.
A: Seeing your Mother-In-Law's picture on a milk carton.
Exactly! Why are we discriminating against dogs and other animals? In fact, why can't plants vote? Don't they have a stake on what happens to them when the evil capitalists want to cut them down to make way for suburban sprawl?
All the women here fantasizing about multiple husbands, be honest - you'd hate it.
Frankly, when I go to a bar, practically every woman who isn't, well, fugly (sorry), has at least one guy paying attention to her. Sure, there's usually a couple of ultra-hotties who -every- guy would -like-, but we set realistic goals for ourselves when it comes to which ones we actually approach and talk to - plus, competition is usually regarded as a PITA.
Women are utterly different. EVERY woman in the place has her eye on exactly one guy. The same guy. All of them. Every time. And if that guy goes to a table full of women, they'll kill each other to be the one who gets him.
There's a legitimate reason the word "catty" is gender-specific =P Women simply don't find it fun or challenging unless they're competing with each other for the same guy. And you all know it =P And it's -not- the guys' fault =P
So nyah!
(goes and hides in his bunker)
(and yes, I'm annoyed cause it's rare that I'm the one guy =P)

No, it does not work out this way. The bible does not mention anything about a woman marrying more than one husband. You must be feminist or something. The "natural" thing is for guys to have as many wives as they wish. Abraham, Moses, Solomon, Mohammad did that. Joe Republic should have the right to 4 bitches and all the whores he can buy, a la Koran!
