It wasn't bad judgment. That would imply they somehow cared if in fact the photos were really true. The Globe just wanted a handy stick to beat the administration with and the photos, true or not, provided that.

You are much too generous. You imply that they didn't know they were fake because they didn't care to ask the question.

I believe that they actually DID KNOW in advance that the photos were fake and published them deliberately. In the minds of the Left, the end justify the means.
