The next big rallying point for the pro-life movement on Capitol Hill appears to be legislation introduced yesterday that would require doctors to inform women seeking abortions that the procedure will cause pain to their unborn children.
"Unborn children can and do feel pain," said the bill's Senate sponsor, Sen. Sam Brownback, Kansas Republican. "Women should not be kept in the dark."

Pro-life bump
Where are all the demoncat "states-rights" advocates now? They are lining up in droves to praise the wonders of state-rights in the gay marriage controversy. Why deny the rights to the states on abortion?
The simple truth is, the liberals will eagerly violate or support a law, entirely based on whether they agree or disagree with it. If the law agrees with their purposes, they will use it to crush the opposition. On the other hand, if the law opposes their right to do whatever they please, they will eagerly violate it. Conservatives, by definition, believe in the rule of law, even bad law. No matter how bad a law gets, for example, conservatives will work within established procedures to change it.
The sad part of all of this is that disrespect for law creates a bad precedent that could easily swing back around and be used to crush the liberals. For example, judges that mold the Constitution to suit one purpose can easily mold it to suit a different purpose more hostile to all US citizens. When they support judicial activism, the liberals are playing with fire!
