Warns Officials To Look for People Wearing Bulky Jackets on Warm Days; Smell of Chemicals; Trailing Wires from Jackets Bombers May Disguise Selves As Pregnant Women

New York - The FBI has disseminated to 18,000 law enforcement agencies an intelligence bulletin advising police officials to be on the lookout for suicide bombers attempting to strike inside the US, TIME's Elaine Shannon reports today on TIME.com. The lightly classsified bulletin, headlined "Possible suicide bomber indicators," and circulated earlier today (May 20) via the FBO's secure Law Enforcement Online (LEO) Intranet, warns local badge-carriers to look for obvious signs of trouble - people wearing heavy, bulky jackets on warm days, smelling of chemicals, trailing wires from their jackets - and, as well, more subtle ones, such as tightly clenched fists. Someone who never shows his palms could be gripping a detonator rigged to go off when a button is released. "If you shoot him, you're still not safe because his hands relax and the bomb explodes," says a counter-terrorism official, TIME reports.

The FBI bulletin also notes that suicide bombers may disguise themselves in stolen military, police or firefighter's garb or as pregnant women, TIME reports.

LOL! Actually, there are now a large number of these cities, but you don't need a list. Just about any city with population >200K is run by pinkos, especially on the coasts. Do NYC and DC ring a bell? Like the Spanish, liberals think that crawling on their bellies to the islamists is going to save them. But the truth is that liberals love everything the islamists despise -- sexual immorality including homosexuality, militant feminism, substance abuse, irreverence for God, the coddling of murderers, etc. In reality, islamists have far more respect for conservatives even though we are doing our best to kill as many of them as possible.

Don't forget that they have been SELECTED for those characteristics and mis-trained,hobbled, and misled by those in charge. Any officer who uses common sense and initiative is in danger of violating dept rules and asinine court decisions. Law enforcement officers can only do exactlly as told,unlike a peace officer of a commonwealth who could take reasonable action. You can't write a book of instructions detailed for evey scenario, the best you can do is encourage and reward good judgment.

Its about time that this initiative has been taken. They must send this kind of stuff to all security personal in the US, and they must train them for it as well. The next step will have to be making ordinary people informed by sending them information, and teaching their kids in public schools about it. Cities should have drills every year as well. What's more, security has got to be increased. Security at train stations, bus stations, malls, cinemas, large public places (such as a popular restaurant) and college campuses are a joke. Airport security is also inadequate. The US government must stop looking for ways that are politically correct or comfortable for people. The US must realize that it must take these steps now. Its not just learning for your own experiences that has to make the gov. spur themselves into action (like after 9/11, increasing airport security). They must take into account experiences of OTHER countries as well. An informed public is key to not only preventing attacks, but decreasing the deaths when it does happen. In Israel the above steps I mentioned are given, and school children area aware of these things. Just like they teach elementary kids at school about strangers, this must be done.

And when I am talking about security at private places, it would be up to the business to hire private security.

I know some people might say that in Israel it is different and it could never happen here. But that's what we thought about terrorism before 9/11 - and it did happen. A insecure southern and northern border in the US makes terrorism more probable as well.

There's one pic of Ann that I had, lost, and have been unable to find..and I've tried...some years ago, 8 or so, she had an eye operation, and for about 6 months she wore a black eye patch, a la Commander Schweppes, over one eye..absolutely the hottest things imaginable..

Random acts of terror,such as those Israel has been experiencing for years,really scare me.

Remember the fear in Maryland with the shootings 2 years ago?People were afraid to go out,playgrounds were closed,and events cancelled. This kind of fear could immobilize the country.
