Does Israel have a new Hate-Seeking missile in their arsenal?
To: Chad Fairbanks
I bet the next guy to lead it will be forced to take the job at gunpoint ;0) No, no, Achmed, it's your turn to be leader.
But Abdul, you are a natural leader, you should be in charge.
Not me, but Mohammed, you were born to lead..
(Eventually Hamas will turn leadership over to a committee of women.)

I disagree completely.
Palestinian 'militants' are not hiding behind women and children. They are attempting to play off the moral superiority of the Israelis, as well as create press opportunities for their apologists.
If the Israeli soldier hesitates he might get killed, and if he doesn't, and the women and children are killed, the AP , AFP and all of the headlines will read "Israelis Kill Palestinian Women and Children".
They are not 'hiding' behind, they are 'using' the women and children.

Just think how many the IDF can hit at the much publicized funeral this dude will have. I know, if only they would hit the funeral with a couple of missiles. World opinion does nothing but criticize Israel anyway, so they might as well do it. Even if the whole world gets upset, there are NO countries who have the nerve to attack Israel.

I guess this shows that new Hamas leaders shouldn't bother getting business cards printed up... The need the ones with a blank line for the name, with the legend "Due to high turnover, please fill in blank."

Sounds like I was stuck on one slim viewpoint. You are, of course, correct! Can we at least agree they are cowards?

What is interesting is that this is the third Hamas "leader" killed in the last couple of months and yet, despite wailing and raised fists, there have been no large retailatory suicide bombings in Israel.

With Israel, that's a given!
To: BSunday
Yep!
They also have to pay him/her their first year's salary in a lump sum, up front.
Then in two weeks, they divide it among those few bodyguards that are left.
"Do everything possible to make terrorists and their active supporters live in terror themselves. Turn the tide psychologically and practically. While this will not deter hard-core apocalyptic terrorists, it will dissipate their energies as they try to defend themselves and fear will deter many less-committed supporters of terror. Do not be distracted by the baggage of the term assassination. This is a war. The enemy, whether a hijacker or a financier, violates the laws of war by his refusal to wear a uniform and by purposely targeting civilians. He is by definition a war criminal. On our soil, he is either a spy or a saboteur, and not entitled to the protections of the U.S. (or Israelii) Constitution. Those who abet terrorists must grow afraid to turn out the lights to go to sleep."

Ah, another innocent wedding goer...must be the new Arab propaganda standard these days. I read a tear jerker article about the mean JOOOOOOOOOZ destroying a zoo in a refugee camp, and now the poor little kiddies will have no fun - though they were enjoying tormenting an ostritch running down the street. When one or more gets his head kicked off, that'll be the mean old JOOOOOOOOZ' fault, too.

You're right as to intent, additionally they hope to forestall retaliation as too costly in civilian lives. However, gunman do, literally, hide behind and among women and children.
