BAGHDAD, Iraq U.S. military officials disputed suggestions that an American helicopter struck a wedding party in western Iraq on Wednesday and said coalition forces staged an attack against suspected foreign fighters.
Arab television and The Associated Press aired video showing the bodies of small children in a truck full of bodies and people digging graves as they quoted witnesses and Iraqi officials who discussed the attack.

I wish there was also an article in the main stream press talking about what the IDF has to say about the incident in Rafah today the whole world is condemning.
Now there is a band of brothers.
More likely it was a multi-functional site. Weapons and weddings, a combination as down home int the mid-east as BBQ and beer might be here.
The US must have gun-camera video. Presumably it will be released to corroborate our side.
Sure looks that way. Was not Saddam reputed to hide weapons in places like schools and hospitals? Force your enemies to root up some wheat along with the weeds. Plays right into the hands of the enemy here. I wonder how many in that wedding (assuming the report is true) knew about a hideout nearby, and therefore about the risk...
They could have set up the attack or these animals are capable of killing the children themselves, just for the camera. Between public beheadings and the antics of the Palestinian terrorists with using children as bomb delivery devices, no inhumane act is beneath the terrorist mentality.
Seems likely, as the attacks were carried out from helicopters. It was 3:00 a.m. though... Do they normally have the night-vision view with video?
Yeahhh -- weddings & weapons; mosques and mortars; ambulances and ammo; anyone else want to add to the list?
"Wedding Party" is about as disingenuous as "Baby Milk Factory."
Sounds like a pretty gay wedding to me.
More gay marriages?
"My Big Fat Gay Wedding"
Amazing folks over there... quite a culture.
All of that "hardware" mentioned was just wedding gifts!

"Was not Saddam reputed to hide weapons in places like schools and hospitals?"
I can't tell you how many schools we had to clean munitions out of in Baghdad.
300 yards on either side of an elementary in one area Saddam had parked mobile SAM launchers.
Other places he had military trucks that would be attacked by coalition soldiers parked against the wall of a school.
Disgusting.
I heard they blew up a convention of preschoolers at a lego convention.
Not only that the American gi's mixed pork fat in the crisco that was used for birthday cakes.
They also forced an unarmed Iraqi militiaman to wear his shoes in a mosque.
I'm sure they were just avid hunters, so everyone got them hunting gear...
