Islam is a paganistic moon god cult. I don't buy anything they say including what they claim are *their* holy cities and holy sites.

It's a KULT, baby! Just look at their *holy martyrs* who kill via suicide bombing in Iraq and Israel. Nothing holy about these mass murderers. It's an assassin's kult.

So Jerusalem is not holy to the Muslims because Mr. Bat-Chaim says it isn't? Well that solves that!

I am still waiting to learn one single fact about Islam that doesn't show it to be utterly reprehensible. I am willing to keep an open mind - but it is getting harder to do so.

I admit to not being an expert on Islam or the Middle East. I would be surprised if you are one, either.

But my reaction to this post is that the author makes a very plausible argument. Given what I have seen of Islam since 9-11, I do not find it difficult to believe that this author is correct in his analysis.

If Jerusalem is so holy to Muslims, why then is it not mentioned ONCE in the Koran?

On the other hand,Jerusalem is mentioned over 900 times in the Bible. The Psalms of David are full of songs about the Jew's love for their beloved city of God. The author is exactly right. Muslims have no claim to Jerusalem and the way they have treated the temple mount is barbaric.

Not just cause he says so, it's a simple plain fact.

I thought Muslims also claimed that Mo ascended to heaven from the Temple Mount.

As I mentioned, I am not an expert on Islan or its history, so I don't know whether what you have said is accurate. I don't recall ever hearing that, but it seems to me that if that's what Muslims think, then they would consider Jeruslam to be their FIRST holiest site.

I'm getting tired of all the news reports that mention this or that holy city (e.g. "holy city of Karbala"). The only one frequntly mentioned that never seems to get this adjective is Jerusalem.

(And exactly how long has Karbala been holy anyway?)

It's an assassin's kult

If it LOOKS like a kult, MURDERS like and kult and ENSLAVES like a kult, you got yerself a kult.

I am told that when Jews are allowed visit the Temple Mount, the are escorted and *very* closely watched. If their lips begin to move in what could be prayer, they are immediately hustled off of the property.

I agree with another poster who will keep an open mind, but has yet to see anything virtuous whatsoever in Islam.

To be fair to these rank nutters, Mecca and Medina don't get mentioned very much in Koran. I once did an online Koran search and it was % or less.

I doubt that we will ever erase this scourge on mankind called islam but hopefully we can find ways to 'minimize' it.
