President Bush spoke Monday to mark the 50th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court's Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka, Kansas, decision that ended racially segregated schools.
He greeted the fueling squadron on the way in, and greeted the Air National Guard troops on the way out of the airport at Topeka, Kansas.
What House of Representatives stuff? Have I missed something?
Prairie
No, you're not missing anything -- it's just the C-Span is currently airing some House members giving speeches (I've got the TV on mute). They just ran a tagline indicating that the President's speech would following the House session.
These were in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinal (in the actual paper) on Saturday after the President spoke at Concordia College commencement on Friday.
I found out from our daughter, who graduated from Marquette, that they had asked him to speak at THEIR commencement, and he accepted, but since it was on Sunday, and he could only come on Friday, they got someone else!!
Can you imagine what a thrill THAT would have been for us????
Oh, well........
Anyway, the President got some good press in a liberal haven, and this picture was on the front page of the paper, ABOVE the fold.......
This one was in farther with the rest of the article. Nice.......
Maybe Wisconsin will be in the BUSH column this election!
These leftists are EVIL. Just plain EVIL!!
I thought President Bush did great today, a very clear and thoughtful speech that didn't gloss over the mistakes we made as a Nation prior to Brown-v-Board, the speech also emphasized how far we have come since then, and how we must continue to work very hard on the tasks that lies ahead.
Before I leave to finish a presentation for a meeting tomorrow of a Young Republican's Club at an area high school, I WANT TO MAKE A RECOMMENDATION!!
I RECOMMEND THAT WE HOLD AN 'ALL HANDS ON DECK' "MEETING" TOMORROW NIGHT ON THE DOSE -- WE'VE BEEN DESPONDENT TOO LONG; IT'S TIME WE RE-ENERGIZE, RE-FOCUS and RE-COMMIT TO THE TASK OF RE-ELECTING GEORGE W BUSH IN NOVEMBER! [ALL THIS PESSIMISM IS JUST PLAYING INTO THE HANDS OF THE DEMONRATS!]
I recommend that we spend tomorrow researching the internet and our own archives so that we can bring to the DOSE all the positive/informative articles and photos we can find. We also need to think STRATEGERY -- time to bring some action plans to the table as well!!!
ENOUGH DOOM AND GLOOM -- LET'S GET BUSY!!!
FReegards...MUD
Vice President Dick Cheney , right, reaches out to shake hands with Rep. Richard Burr , R-N.C., left, after mispronouncing his name during a speech at a fund-raiser for Burr's U.S. Senate campaign at Salem College in Winston-Salem, N.C.
I have to laugh when I see how they managed to squeeze in another little dig at the VP.
Most excellent idea! See you tomorrow night. No more pity parties!
Oh, man! Cheryl Brown Henderson really doesn't like our W, does she?
*IT'S TIME WE RE-ENERGIZE, RE-FOCUS*
We need to pound out the message especially the week
of the Dem. convention. Maybe time for some Freeping
that week in our cities.
I know it's only anecdotal, but I keep hearing people all around (on the radio, TV, personal), that they have been Democrats all their lives, but that they are NOT going to vote for Kerry, and people who have never said a word about any President (like some in our families) are positively THRILLED with President Bush.
In spite of the negatives coming from the media, I keep getting positive vibes about this election.....
Hey Bumper Sticker Man: How's this for a bumper sticker?
MASSACHUSETTES: Home of
John Kerry and
Homosexual Marriage
With 70% of Americans polled saying that marriage should be only between a man and a woman; we must, no matter how subtil, connect JFK with the gay marriage issue. And how 'bout this one? "VOTE JOHN KERRY, OUR BEST HOPE FOR SLAVE REPARATIONS." 90% of the black vote is his anyhow.
I have only talked to two people who admit that they are voting for Kerry. Two people that I work with, dedicated Democrats, told us at lunch last week that they just can't see themselves voting for Kerry. I just believe that anyone who is undecided on election day will remember President Bush's resolve and will pull the lever for him.
He deserves NO LESS.
I refuse to let the democrats rip this nation apart, stealing our spirit and resolve and turning everything upside down in order to confuse those dependent on their mouth pieces-NYT, LATIMES, CNN, ABC, CBS and NBC., etc.
Let's get moving!!!

The media just keeps burying it.
Check out CNN's webpage, and see if you see ANYthing about.........
(hint..........you won't.....)
PRESIDENT BUSH ON C-SPAN NOW!!!!
According to the NBC website, Laura will be on Leno Wednesday the 19th.
Talk to you all tomorrow. It is bedtime on the east coast.
Hey you two! Are either of you going to the State Convention? I'll be there. Let me know so we can arrange a visit.
