Why do I have such a hard time believing this came from algore's mouth?

I don't know.

It seems just like the sort of thing he'd say, once he realized that we weren't going to let him steal the election.

The sad and sick part of all of this, I firmly believe that the media, Democrats and the Presidents enemies from the fringes are already planning on how to turn such an attack to their political advantage.

Also sad is the fact that I can't think of any arguments to dispute your belief.

Best to take precautions against the election time terrorism by Democrats: vote buying voting by the dead voting by illegals

College kids make mutiple votes. And people with mutiple residences voteing in every residence by absentee voteing.

I personally agreed with your post to the idiot! Calling a spade a spade is not such a bad thing when you are responding to statements like that!

And, by the way, WELCOME to FreeRepublic, we all were "newbies" at one time!

"There was a sense," says one official involved in the drills, "of mass confusion on 9/11.

Could of fooled me. I thought things were handled very well. Thanks to cell phones the PA passengers were able to save whatever the other target might have been. Control towers cleared the skies with no further casualties. New Yorker's on the whole remained relatively calm and helped each other out of the way. Rudy was indeed The Mayor. Unfortunately, Shrillary began sqawking and tore the nation apart.

"I bet your father-in-law was at the airshow!"

I'll bet you're right. He was a WWII triple ACE in the Pacific. Flew with the Black Sheep and Blackburn's "Irregulars." Never was there a stronger supporter of Bush. I should be up that way sometime in late July. I'll drop you a freepmail.

But we seem to do things in increments, so I think it would take about a month for the press and the left to blame the whole thing on Bush,

A month? Heck, they're already foaming at the mouth with it now. This isn't the first time we've heard this and it's only going to get worse. Of course the evil doers now only have to sit back and giggle as they watch the media terrorize the public with the story.

If we Receive "Suicide Bombers," we are Likely to do EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE to Whatever the Suicidal Psychopaths Want us to do.

The "Islamic Jerkweeds" are STILL (After ALL this Time & Education) Incapable of understanding that "Western Culture" UTTERLY REJECTS "Islam."

To "The West, "Islam" is a "Death Cult."

"Theory 2 is the most dangerous in terms of Bush's reelection."

I wonder if they have a plan for the vigilantism that will result from 'frequent' attacks. Americans will not put up with this shite!

2] Terrorist attack after the 4th of July a] This would almost guarantee the President would be reelected, as the public would rally around our country & President.,/I>

No, the RATS are hoping for this so they can step in and say I told you so. It's Bush's fault. When did Bush know? Why didn't he do something about it?

Rallying to Bush may keep the terrorist from attacking. I don't think John Kerry can come out and say: "See, even Al Qaeda wants me in to be President!" OTOH, if the polling just prior to the election suggests a Bush cakewalk, the terrorists would have nothing to lose at that point.

IMHO there's no way in just six months to cover everything the enemy can do. We have to figure out what they will do. Not easy to think like they do. Perhaps some real agressive offensive moves in August to disrupt the operations just before they start. Maybe:

Other ideas welcome.

If the attack(s) are major, it will take a few weeks for us to cry it out and get over it, then the press and the Demos will go negative. It would appear opportunistic if they started questioning things right away.

That said, it has been discussed on other threads that if the perps entered illegally and it can be shown that Bush did nothing to stop this inflow, he could be very vulnerable. Entry of the perps via the south border would put Bush in big trouble with his base.

"Has anyone thought about the dedication of the WW-II memorial? A pretty large crowd is expected."

That would be in the District of Columbia? Nah. DC is a gun free zone, perfectly safe there.
