Where to begin? I can hear the chorus from the left already
It was planted.
What, just one shell?

Where to begin? Might I suggest a review of breaking news? :-)

At least Fox News is calling it what it is.

Bush administration officials told Fox News that mustard gas (search) was also recently discovered. Heh heh heh....

Sarin?!? all they found was Sarin? everybody knows that that isn't any more dangerous than non-stick cooking spray.

As far as I've heard, it was just one shell... FoxNews estimates put it at 25+ years old.
I still believe we will find the real WMDs in Iraq at some point. This was probably more of a left-over "accident."

Where there's smoke, there's fire! They will find more! Why aren't more questions being asked about the thwarted WMD attack in Jordan?Gee,I wonder why???

Dear Editor:
Now that chemical weapons have been found in Iraq, allow me to be the first to say:

Last I heard, a chemical weapon is indeed a WMD.

My friend already mentioned such things.
I pointed out That Sarin is quite unstable and was most likely was not transported into Iraq.
Combine this with Saddam's planning for post-war terrorist acts and I'm thinking that there may be more around the corner. Let's hope we get to it before they can use it.
By the way, analysis of the shell itself will tell if it was from Saddam's secret stash or not.

My mom and I switched to CNN to see if they would even report it. The top story of the hour was that JILL married JANE this weekend...It was a 5 minute story with an on-site reporter and banter back and forth between the anchor and the reporter. Following that was a 30 second (maybe) report of WMD sarin found in Iraq. So blatantly biased.
Also, ABC radio did not call it the discovery of Weapons of Mass Destruction, they said "chemical shell" was discovered...or something to that effect. I despise the media. Time to send the story to everyone on you e-mail list.

This is a non-story. Until 1000+ of our soldiers in Iraq are killed by WMDs they will continue to not exist for the media and the left....

See this thread:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1131601/posts Every so often, our troops encounter a stray shell here or there. But try telling the media that they have WMDs kicking around the streets and the countryside. And I'm sure that Saddam's nuclear facilities were all for medical research, too.

Umm...when the military says it also found mustard gas yet it wasn't in the news yesterday, I fully expect, within the next two months, for more and more reports of chemical weapons found in Iraq. This may lead to a report by the folks charged with finding weapons showing confirmation of a number of WMD found in Iraq. This report will surface in early August/Late July.
This is a great political move. As the Dems start screaming about why we didn't know this earlier, the administration can easily come out and say, "In the light of many early war premature reports coming out on so-called 'found WMD' we wanted to be 100% accurate in confirming these as WMD, thus the delay."
Rope.a.dope.
