Not sure if the other technological information was a yes or a no as to what type of access a hacker could get to the vehicle.

Since I haven't been directly involved with the ongoing development of the new OnStar platform, I'm not in a position to validate the hacking claims. The competitor's telematics system had a significant security hole that was fixable using a Diffie-Helman key exchange to cover the session initiation. The defect was never fixed because the project was abandoned in June 2002.
