I may be a slow learner.
But in this case, I included Jim for 2 reasons:
1) I understood it to be standard FR custom and courtesy to ping people you mention in your post.
2) I wanted Jim to have a chance to say yea/nay in case things had changed since my last awareness.
I'm sorry I don't live up to your level of perfection and that you are tasked with ignoring me, hating me or forgiving me so often.
Easily believable.
Yes, looks like the Iranians have aligned themselves with what is about to happen.
Report it.
You have mail.
Just please don't do that to people for the purpose of correcting them. It is as humiating to them as it was for you to read my post...Get it. It is different it something obnoxious was going on, but it was not. And no I don't hate you at all. I like you really. It has just become my mission in life to break you of that habbit...LOL
Just kidding! ;) I'm sorry to say that Koreans do eat cats and dogs.
Interesting story, huh???
This can't be true.
UnderscoreJim says it's impossible to do that...
I turned MSNBC on in the middle of a Lisa Myers report. I didn't hear all of it, but she was saying that the terror warning was based (I think) on that Iran info..
She basically said there is no threat, and the idiot that came on after her said that it could have been one guy with a fax machine.
I think they were referencing the report we've been discussing from Iran.
If anyone else heard this please correct my post, as I didn't hear all of it.
Ummm. No.
Add these 2 post together and we might have another war. I bet the ships are going out to send a message.

Navy to Deploy Carrier Groups to Test Rapid Readiness
"A major exercise soon to be underway will have a large part of the Navy fleet deploying out of Norfolk.
WAVY News 10 has learned the Navy is sending seven carrier strike groups out to sea.
The exercise is designed to test the Navy's new rapid deployment readiness.
Several Norfolk-based carrier strike groups will participate. The USS George Washington is already deployed. Two others, the USS Enterprise and USS Harry S Truman will leave soon.
Other carriers involved in the exercise include the USS John F. Kennedy, the USS John S. Stennis, and the USS Ronald Reagan - which left Norfolk on Thursday.
While the Navy won't say where the seven carrier groups are going, the carriers not already deployed are expected to be gone for only one to two months."
Question: Is it standard procedure not to divulge where carriers are going when conducting exercises?

There are also these ships that just left from San Diego to add to the mix:

Our missiles are now ready to strike at their civilization, and as soon as the instructions arrive from leader ['Ali Khamenei], we will launch our missiles at their cities and installations," the Revolutionary Guard adviser said in a
speech reported by the London Arabic-language daily Al-Sharq Al-Awsat, according to Middle East Media Research Institute, or MEMRI

If you put one of those little plastic flags used at auto dealerships in front of the house of every registered sex offender in the area, you would swear a real estate developer had just opened a new tract of homes for sale.
My wife dispatched an officer with a warrant for a sex offender that had moved into a house adjacent to an elementary school. The officer knocked on the door and heard a muffled gunshot from basement. Upon entry to the premises, they found a back bedroom window with a clear view of the playground, binoculars and child porn on the walls. The person named in the warrant was dead of a self-inflicted gunshow wound.
The town is full of crummy old trailers that get turned into meth labs. Most are uninhabitable from the toxic chemicals left behind...if they don't explode first. The fire department uses them for "practice" fires, then the city clears the lot. The property owner is often left with a toxic chemical clean up responsibility before the property can be sold. It pays to screen your tenants.
For all that bad news, our town crime rates are VERY low compared to most cities. Violent crime is 44% of the national average. My old neighborhood in Mira Mesa, CA was 118% of national average. My parents home in Chula Vista, CA was rated 160%. Most of our criminal activity is property crime committed to finance drug habits.
there were enough techs on those discussions who felt strongly otherwise and said it could be done and might have.
The presstitutes are hypocrites. First we don't publicize when we should; now they say we are when we shouldn't.
The government has warned us. That is all they can do. The rest is up to us. And if we do get hit, there are a lot of people on FR that will do the right thing with regard to retaliation and defense here at home....
Prior to the onset of the shooting war in Iraq, there was a website for Clear Channel with explicit game plans for how to cover the war activity. Lots of corporate spin and bias was built into the official coverage plans.
I don't think it's just the Iranians.
In military exercises, you don't call the enemy you are practicing to fight by their real name. Not just "PC", but you don't want to start an international incident.
In the Cold War, we had all sorts of creative names for the USSR. I am not in the military, but I am sure vets would know.
We and the UK held the largest naval maneuvers since WWII back in 1996 and practiced "invading" VA and NC. I think the news this morning indicates something similar.
I think we called the hypothetical enemy "Orangeland", but not sure.
Iran is not PC at all. When they held their largest war games ever the folowing year, they called it "The Road to Jerusalem".
