Thanks Jill. Yes it is time to let it all hang out. Everyone needs to know what we are up against. Many media sites that I visit started immediately after the news conference saying the Feds were over reacting!!!! The media has only one thing in mind and that's getting Bush out of office.

You and others are the only hope we have of outing these guys. The more the citizens of this country know at this point the better, it will save lives. Thanks to all who have contributed.

Have you heard any scuttlebutt about Midhat Mursi AKA Abu Khabab their chief bombmaker? He was supposedly on his way here sometime in Feb.

There also was a rumor that we had him, he's off the FBI list but there has never been a report of his capture in print.

Hmmmmm, was it Phosphine, PH₃ or Phosgene, COCl?

Both are deadly. Both are fairly easy to make.

Phosphine is an industrial gas available in compressed gas cylinders from lecture bottle size (not much bigger than a spray can) to rail tanker car. I've used it as a phosphorus source for semiconductor doping. IIRC, it's about 40 times more toxic than cyanide.

Phosgene - Carbon Monoxide Chloride is a war gas. Very nasty In contact with moist lung tissues it forms hydrochloric acid which damages the lungs. They fill up with fluid, the victims start drowning in their own fluids.

It also liberates Carbon Monoxide. What little oxygen the victims does manage to get into their lungs finds the hemoglobin bound up, the blood can't carry the oxygen to the rest of the body.

Very nasty.

Well then I would assume it's very easy to disperse in a large crowd. Easy to make. Are the ingredients easy to get without raising flags?

Could it be dispersed from a water truck or crop duster or model airplane?

From what I've learned about chemicals it's probably easier to disperse them inside without the wind factor. I never realized I would learn all these things in my life.

They are all scumbags, I want to be on the record for that!!

Lurker here. I am getting increasingly worried and paranoid about the threat level.
My daughter's friend, who is 17, has been seeing a 22 year old young man. He works at a global cellular kiosk at a large well-known mall. He went missing for the last several weeks. His co-workers, who he lives with, wouldn't tell her where he was. I need to add that he and his co-workers are all supposedly Europeans. He came to our area five months ago from NYC where he was a student. He came with his foreigner friends and they work at this cellphone kiosk. He says he is French, but he appears to be Arabic. Before coming to the US, he was most recently living in Azerbaijan. He also has lived in Russia and France.
His kiosk pals told her that he was doing something important and he would be back. When a friend of hers took a picture of him, he became irate and told her it must never happen again. Yesterday he finally called her, and said he would never see her again. He then explained that he was under house arrest. Then he told her he wouldn't be returning to the mall. He told her he was leaving our state to go back to NYC. (Is that possible if he is under house arrest?).
Is this creepy, or have I succumbed to reading too much news?
