I'm going to make an educated guess AD.
I think car bombings in selected cities, with targets being chosen for maximum financial impact, along with attempts to use NBC weapons against governmental infrastructure in an attempt to decapitate governmental command and control. This accomplishes the psychological/financial goals.
I think after the initial strike, there will an escalation of the low intensity guerilla warfare by Al Qaeda generally, because they think oour soldiers are stretched thin and would have to return home to guard the US homeland. This achieves the goal of removing US troops from the Middle East, and would cause a drain in US military resources.
They have flaws, however-let me point them out.
1) They are totally arrogant and underestimate how many American citizens are actually not afraid of them-they think we all cower in fear when in fact we dont.
2) They dont understand that there is an entire layer of troops that can be accessed for Homeland Security with one stroke of the pen and a Presidential Directive, and the fact there are millions of battle hardened ex combat soldiers available for callup immediately.
3) They dont understand rednecks/cowboys/cajuns and other regional players who would make them truly miserable if they wanted to come out in the open and play.
4) They dont understand the political dynamic of these types of attacks, which would negate any sympathetic support they may have now immediately.
5) They dont understand the simple fact Americans cannot be subjected to fear or tyranny.
I don't have time, could you handle that task, please?
Kidding!
Thank you for your very logical post. You've got some great insights. It's appreciated.
Mercy, I hadn't heard about this. Spearfish is just an hour from here. When my husband was with the Forest Service, we lived there. Wonderful little town. He probably flew out of Clyde Ice field, the very small airport in Spearfish.
I'll check with some friends there to see if I can learn anything new.
"Just think of the phone bill....."
LOL. I was thinking of that as well.
http://www.cs.ucsd.edu/users/bsy/area.html
That site has a full listing of area codes. The numbers in your post all correspond to area codes throughout the US. Whether that is what they really refer to, I haven't a clue.
"This is, as it has been from the start, state directed." (NothingMan)
I agree. Who is the State? China or Iran? It's not Iraq or Afghanistan anymore. Syria? Pakistan? AQ and islamos/jihadis seem to be shooting Chinese and Russian weapons at us. Sudan? Libya surrendered. Saudi Arabia or Egypt? Maybe a combination? We need to follow the weapons they use.

If she was in a BSL-4 lab, then she certainly would have had a hard time accidentally sticking herself since nearly 99% of all work in BSL-4 labs is done using glove boxes with extra thick gloves to protect against needle sticks and animal scratches/bites. And as WHO knows Vector is working with Ebola and Marburg, we know they have their viruses in BSL-4 containment. Not to mention the US funds would force them to.

Missing plane last seen near Mount Borah
05:14 PM MDT on Thursday, May 27, 2004
HELENA, MT -- Authorities in Montana say the search for a missing crop-duster plane has shifted to Idaho.
A state aviation official says a man in Idaho saw news reports about the missing plane, and told authorities today he had seen it last Saturday.
He said the plane was flying west near Mount Borah, about 90 miles east of the Idaho-Montana border, and appeared to be flying up a narrow coulee.
Based on the report, Montana officials suspended their search this afternoon.
And Idaho searchers began concentrating on the area of the reported sighting.
The missing pilot is 39-year-old John Brandner of Spearfish, South Dakota.
He left Fort Benton, Montana, Saturday morning; and stopped for fuel in Dillon en route to Boise, Idaho.
Brandner has a commercial pilot's rating, and was flying to Nevada to work as a contractor, fighting fires with the Forest Service.
placemark, back later.
Kinda weird.
John Brandner is not listed in the Spearfish directory, at least not now.
A couple of friends there told me they did not know him (and they know everyone. Spearfish is a small town) The Brandners were long ago South Dakota pioneers, but none left around there now.
As Dick Morris said today: (Chicago radio)
"Why would you remove a President that has kept you safe for the past three years?!"
I wouldn't. (No matter who the president is, whether in 2004 or 2008, I am not going to project blame for events beyond his control.) But given the situation, I doubt that statement Dick Morris made will apply for much longer. And the American people have their own way of thinking. They may rally around a president, or make him a scapegoat.
"He knows Kerry very well, even likes him but said but has no intention of voting for him"
Nor would I. Haven't ever voted for a Democratic Presidential candidate, no plans to start now.
That being said, most Republican commentators are wrong on the Iraq abuse scandal (war crimes and atrocities are more accurate terms). It is one of the most heinous episodes in our entire history, and both parties are politicising it. The Dems by playing it up for cheap political points, the GOP by trying to downplay it.
yep same story
EOM is probably Adam Yahiye Gadahn.
Here is EOM's pre-9/11 post from the MSNBC board:
We pray to Allah and ask that the alliance star be with us as the moon shall follow
US Airways joins Star Alliance

"Hasan Saddiq Faseh Alddin"
Alddin. Last name reminded me of Aldeen (sp?) Salah Aldeen ?
Daleel?
We can hope, right?
More on Yahiye Adam Gadahn's (EOM?) heavy metal music obsession:
http://islamic-world.net/dakwah/Conversion23.htm
"In the meantime, I had become obsessed with demonic Heavy Metal music, something the rest of my family (as I now realize, rightfully so) was not happy with. My entire life was focused on expanding my music collection."
EOM posted the lyrics of "Horror Movie" as his pre-9/11 warning on the MSNBC board.

EOM is Yahiye Adam Gadahn. I'd put money on it.
Sorry for being a bit late,
But

'Average American boy' accused as terrorist
There, Pearlman said, he grew to love watching television, using a computer and the Internet and listening to heavy metal rock music, which she disparaged.
"He was listening to that awful, awful stuff," she said.
