I make that comment because there are RULES OF WAR defined by the Geneva Conventions. TERRORISTS ARE CHOOSING NOT TO PLAY BY THOSE RULES

That being the case, we MUST NOT PLAY BY THEM EITHER.

We will, and should, play by rules that are not averse to our cultural mores, but there is NO REASON to play by the "rules of war" with an enemy who is willfully shunning such rules.

Frankly, we must use all the psy-ops we need to, taking advantage of all the chinks that their "religion" or "culture" give us. This includes pig fat, and anything else that can come in handy. The Department of Defense and our president has not yet come to this conclusion, and it is a difficult question to face, but that conclusion will be reached eventually.

There is no way that the good people of our nation will come to grips with terrorism until we start to reflect Israel in our malls and stadiums.

Sorry. There are many deaths in America that must be borne first. The first response will be to change the government and try pacifism. When that fails, and only when that fails, the next government will declare martial law and give us a "patriot act 2" with real crackdowns on freedom issues and muslims. That government will change the world, and we will probably then embark on a true age of American Imperialism in order to control the nasties.

The longer it takes us to come to grip with the need, the longer the pacifist government lasts and the more deaths it takes, the greater the imperialism will be.

It takes no genius to make such prophecies. Most people only look at the first step in a process, and they are truly incapable of seeing the third step. Our children will be living in this age, but I don't expect to see it.

Take heart: we will prevail, in time.
(Unless Christ comes before that time)

Imagine what Mad Mo' could have done if dynamite were around back then.

What a thought! It's true that contemporary Islam would be severely handicapped without Semtex.

I know I'm being repetitious but Islamic political and military doctrines adore assassination as a tool of war. Tool of politics. Muslim assassinations are as old as Mad Mo' who ordered three of them.

Car bombs, suicide bombs and other explosives are a favorite tool of Muslim assassination these days. Makes it a lot easier than in bygone years when the Jihadist scumbag had only a dagger and was often caught + killed after doing the deed.

Islam's cult of the assassin

The Assassins' cult is a good example of the diversity of unconventional means to reach and build a parallel political power of a certain magnitude. Hassan Sabbah was neither prince nor king. He didn't rule over any country or nation in particular, he was just the leader of an islamic religious cult: the Ismailis. Even though the origin and the base of his power are not a nation-state, the Old Man of the Mountain and his Assassins will have a great influence in the Middle East from the XIth till the end of the XIIIth century.

It is first through its organization as a secret society that the Ismaili Cult becomes a possible instrument of Power conquest for Hassan ben Sabbah. In Persia around 1090, Hassan gives a purpose, a new form and impulse to the sect. Its new name (Assassins) is derived from the Arabic <<hachachin>> (smokers of hashish), then Hassan will have all his enemies assassinated by faithful disciples intoxicated with hashish.

Unfortunately, that is what I see as the future if we do not deal with this relgious/fascist threat now.

The words you state sound eerily familiar to the actions we were forced to undertake to defeat Japan and Germany in the past, although the implementation of true imperialism was not enacted or necessary.

However, the enemy we face today is far more heinous than the ideologies we fought than. The only saving grace is that our enemy today is not nearly as militarily powerful. But even with that being said, they can, and have, caused serious carnage throughout the world. If left alone, their reach and power will grow.

We have learned nothing from history accept how to repeat it. Our children will pay the price of us not heeding its call.

Fallujah is peaceful at the moment, chiefs of tribes have been appealed to by the Iraqi General to support the US or lose their chance at reconstruction and stability..The security for the meeting was provided by the Marines.

There are no reports of Coalition personnel wounded.

There were no coalition(American) casualties because the 'stop point' at this checkpoint was moved 100 meters further away from our guys after the last car bombing of a week ago.

If nothing else, at least our guys are learning a few things.
