We are now entering day 3 under siege. How is is possible that the marines didn't come yet to rescue the italians ?

This blows. Again, we went into war unprepared to win it. I've been screaming that it was, or has become, a PC war. We need to kick their...well, you know what we need to do...and haven't done. Too afraid of damaging a mosque and such.
[but don't let the bushbots hear you]
And before some moron flames me as being for EfnK...where did I say that?

I've been screaming that it was, or has become, a PC warI have been wondering for sometime now how, "YOU ARE EITHER WITH US OR AGAINST US!" Came to, "WIN THE HEARTS AND MINDS!!"
I firmly believe that KICKING one's ass bad enough will ultimately be followed by the guys mind then his heart. This war became PC on April 9, 2003 the day our men took BAGHDAD. They raised the American Flag and within minutes were told to fold OUR colors. I knew then nothing really changed, and that PC was still alive and well!!

Like I said, maybe they don't need rescuing. Did it ever occur to you that they never asked for help?

If President Bush would just stick with the former he will end up 'keeping' the hearts and minds of those that really matter. If he keeps chenging the strategy to please those that don't care in the first place then he ends up losing support from those that did.

So true
Those polls shhowing Bush slipping in approval DON'T say how many of that number think he is wimping out on Iraq or how many don't like his nice guy PC act

I'm seeing a lot of pessimism on this thread but come on, we're talking about the Italians, not Marines. They probably ran out of red wine and refuse to drink white so they've got to pull back and restock.

Good quality video - why can't we have that?
All the shot ever shown here are always blurry from afar.

Looks to me like the Italians rescued the people who were trapped there. I don't speak Italian, but they looked totally in control.

USA gave the insurgents on the ground, time to regroup and to resupply. I feel that we do not have command on the ground with a real desire to win! I am appalled
