Prison Abuse (10 times more airtime)Trumps Saddam’s Mass Graves?

There is a vast difference between sexual humiliation and brutal murder. But to the national media, there is also much greater outrage for U.S. prisoner abuse than there is for the enemy’s murders. Viewers received a false picture of moral equivalence, with only American offenses amplified.

To illustrate a fraction of the bias problem, we counted the number of prisoner-abuse stories on NBC’s evening and morning news programs (NBC Nightly News and Today) from April 29, when the story emerged, through May 11. There were 58 morning and evening stories. Using the Nexis news-data retrieval system, we counted the number of stories on mass graves found in Iraq from the reign of Saddam Hussein in 2003 and 2004. The number of evening and morning news stories on those grim discoveries? Five.

No matter what atrocities terrorists and our enemies perpetrate, that is barely newsworthy.

But if Americans do just anything to said terrorists and murderers, Americans are being presented as vicious and inhuman.

People think the CIA/ Rumsfeld approved this. the president need to get his a** in gear and loudly defend the troops, the war, and his administration. And he needs to denounce the left. Period.

I'm not much a fan of THE NATIONAL ENQUIRER tabloid but this week they showed the difference between the abuses in Iraq and abuses American POWs suffered in the last 60 years of wars.
My hat is off tho the National Enquirer for this.

The good thing is this will be seen in hair salons and beauty parlors for at least 6 months!

It's the one with the Jon Benett Ramsey suspect ccommits suicide story on the cover.

Well I hope history will note, "After the Sept 11 attacks, the United States was attacked continuosly by it`s very own media while giving a pass to terrorism." I would never have believed it, but it`s the damn truth.

The Dems are calling the Iraqi prison scandal their 'silver bullet' for a reason. It is wounding the Bush administration.

They took the molehill and made a mountain out of it. And they have wrestled the Iraq war, as an issue, away from Bush.

The Dems/LibMedia will feed on the Iraqi prison abuse story as long as possible. You can bet they have other ammo in their arsenal, too. They won't relent until the election.

Here is what I just found -- a PROOF that the War on Terror is successful -- totally ignored by the media.

2003 Global Terrorist Attacks Fall to Lowest Level Since 1969 (down 45% from 2001)

The Dems are demanding a trophy head. It looked like GWB would not let them have Rummy's. But the report yesterday that proported that higher ups in the DoD might know more than thought, I'm not sure.

If GWB gives the Dems Rummy's head, GWB deserves to lose. Regretably, that hands the election to Kerry.

GWB demands loyalty from his people, but he seems to back away from them when dem/lib trouble is brewing. He didn't got to the mat for his judges. He let Dr. Rice face the 9-11 Commission (she did good, thank goodness). He criticized Ashcroft for releasing the Gorelick memos. It will be interesting to see whether he hands Rumsfeld's head to the dems or goes to the mat for Rumsfeld.

Yes, it's way overdue. These are not ordinary times and the left today is not ordinary opposition. Many of them are actively committing sedition and aiding the enemy. Same goes for the media. We should be calling for their resignations. The press is now primarily an arm of a political movement, and insofar as it is, it does not deserve the kid-glove respect it gets from the government. The law doesn't let soap manufacturers call their product food---neither should it let Peter Jennings, Katie Couric, or Dan Rather call themselves journalists, nor let CBSABCCNNetc call their poisonous propaganda "reporting."

They have licenses---they ought to be required to adhere to standards.

Don't worry as world events will cause the dems current glee to crumble right before their eyes. All al-Qaeda has to do is mount another one of their vicious attacks and the tide turns.

We might even catch up to bin Laden and score a major victory in the WOT

My money is on the stupidity of the terrorists. They never know when to quit. A Madrid style attack in America could cause the gloves to come off and America to really understand that we are at war

The dems are fools. They are playing a dangerous game by politicising the security of America. World events might just expose what they are up to

It is sad to realize that it would almost take another terorist attack for President Bush to denounce the left. I don't know if it is strategy, or just being too nice of a guy, but I am getting sick of conservative constantly just defending themselves. It is high time to go on the attack, and not just exposing some facts, I mean attack the Rats!

You're correct. But their 24x7 binge on this story will bite them in a$$ on election day.
