When the "prisoner abuse" media-sponsored hit on the president broke, I remembered, in the back of my mind, having seen videos of what torture in was like under Saddam. It figured, I though, that the mainstream media found pictures of U.S. MPs making Iraqis wear underwear on their heads was more gruesome than Saddam throwing prisoners, head first, off buildings.
Anyway, I just discovered that some new videos of Saddam's own brand of torture are going to be revealed. These are supposed to be much worse than what we have already seen. But, I figured I'd see if I could dig up the ones that have already surfaced, but that the media has suppressed. If you have not already seen these, I highly suggest watching:
Click . If you have trouble starting it with that link, go to the FNC page here and the video is there. The link to the video is mid-way down the page, and the actual video starts after a short Fox promo.
For more info on Saddam's brand of torture, check out this story.
Also, I have put aside a declassified British Dossier on Saddam's torture methods. It is quite grisly, and you can download it here.
I also found two of Uday's torture "home videos" floating around. The files are a little large (~7megs), but you can get them here and here.
If it weren't such a serious matter, Kennedy's and Levin's mock outrage at our MPs would be laughable.
This posting should provide some much-needed perspective.

(PS I'm finished with finals. Thank you all for your prayers!)
Amen to that.
You can't tell the difference between humiliation and being lowered into an industrial plastic shredder?
Really?
btt
Damn, did they have to call them the Republican Guard?
Of course there's a difference. But you don't defend our conduct by pointing out similar bad conduct from some other person or group. That's not really a good defense. "So, we're bad, but we're not as bad as Saddam, so ignore our bad conduct." That's ridiculous. I wouldn't tolerate such nonsense from my kids. Would you?
As horrific as this is, if a story about this, along with pics of the shredder were made available in the major print media, imho, Americans would react. Wouldn't be so bad to put it in the local Iraqi papers either.
It is time for some justice.
Myself, I am about ready to boycott the national advertisers of ABC, CNN, NBC and most especially CBS.
I AGREE WITH YOU.
Thanks for the ping!
BUMP and read the tagline.
I don't want to trivialize the atrocities, but....
Where's the panties?
They don't like panties..
We humilate them more by putting women's panties on their heads
Or leading them around like dogs
That kind of treatment is much, much worse....according to CNN and it's fellow broadcasters
What do think would happen if your congressman got to see some Real torture photos?
"similar bad conduct"
I think the posts have indicated it isn't similar bad conduct.
Parading around naked you can recover from. Can you be healed from going through a shredder? Not the same thing.
Kennedy brought it up, so it needs to be shown his reasoning is wrong.
Just as I predicted yesterday,Roger Hedgecock is subbing for ElRushbo and he said that Dan Blather has made an annoncement that CBS will not show Saddam's Home Movies!Who will be next?If the people in"fly-over-country"were to see this viciousness, they would immediately come to the conclusion that the stuff a few MPs did at Abu Graib is nothing more than a fraternity HAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome bump!!!!
Bump!
check it out
The republican party sucks. I have no respect for them anymore. They never stand up for us or our beliefs. Screw them. I wish we had a Ted Kennedy on our side. The last one we had was Gingrich, and look what the rats did to him. Problem is, they have the press on their side.
Off your meds???
Fortunately for the Republicans, the Democrats, America and mankind, for that matter, they broke they mold before they made Ted Kennedy.
I agree!!!
