May 14, 2004 -- Iraq's feared Abu Ghraib jail was one big sex romp - sometimes by candlelight with an audience watching, U.S. troops said yesterday. Sex and alcohol were commonplace, and soldiers frequently set up candlelit rooms for voyeuristic sex shows, said a soldier who served at the notorious prison.

WHAT... I can't believe you chose only to speak of the morals of the woman. WOW.
Agreed.
Interesting article.
Remove the word "Abu Ghraib" and replace it "White House".
Remove the word "prisoner(s)" and replace it with intern(s)".
Kinda takes you back to the Clinton years, doesn't it?
Then you and I are in near total agreement.
I thought that for a general she went to the media talk shows far too fast and far too often.
However, I'm interested in the captains, ltc's, and col's. THEY are supposed to be her eyes and ears.
Leash Girl didn't work at the prison -- she was a clerk, and her boyfriend was the one who worked there. She had no business being at the prison in the first place; let alone orchestrating all these photos.
I guess the ARMY needs to change it's "Army of one" advertising
The problem is the trailer trash culture of porn and volgarity is widely spread all over the US. There is no escaping it. The music that the young Americans kids listen to is essentially loaded with S&M, and porn. How are we to isolate our military from our deteriorating culture?
This is just sickening. There's NO EXCUSE.
Lighten up. I intended no such thing. There was a lack of morals among EVERYBODY involved. England is, so far, the most visible. You cannot deny that she comes across as a person of very questionable moral character. She is truly enjoying and relishing her role in the photos. Are the men involved just as culpable? Of course they are. But she should not have been in the prison in the first place.
i'm hoping that everyone involved gets a long, long prison sentence.
Where did you see/read that she was a clerk and not working in the prison?
I saw her on TV saying she was just following orders.I know that is a lie.But I have not heard anyone say she didn't even work there.
She was the MP unit's records clerk. But if what I read was correct...she hasd also been used as a guard for prisoners.
If the women are whores, then what are the men who sleep with them, saints??
If the men can't keep their unit in their pants, then who's fault is that? No one FORCES men to sleep with a whore. Why aren't they castigated for their role in the sex act with a whore? Oh right, I remember now, because it's always the woman's fault when a man has sex with her.
It's always the mistress's fault when a married man has an affair with her. Nevermind that it was HE who made the Marriage Vow, not the mistress... and it is HE who is breaking those vows, not the mistress. But blame the woman, because the man can't possibly be held responsible for what he does with his own penis.
A bigger, more important question is, "Why do we have women serving in military combatant units?"
As a veteran who served from 1986 to 1997, I did tours with operational commands both before the "women in combat" policy, and after. I can tell you from first-hand experience, it is a disastrous policy that has broken the morale and discipline of every unit, and has significantly reduced our military's combat readiness and effectiveness.
The young soldiers was taught everything they know from the Public School Education they received, movies, TV, art, and President Clinton.
I thought sex was not a big deal and it was Republicans that were close-minded....If I was held a prisoner during war, I think I would prefer a pr of men undies over my head than to have it "sawed" off with a dull knife...
Terrorists lived to see our love ones dead whether they are democrats or republicans. That is the fact and the democrats should keep their chicken mouths quiet and left the real men fight this thing so all of our love ones including theirs will have a future.
The situation is made worse these days becasue except for sleeping....basic training is co-ed in a couple of places too.
With the incompetent female colonels that I have seen in my job, I find it hard to believe that they're being promoted on merit. In today's military, if a female officer is passed over for promotion, it's automatically sexual discrimination.
I've read in several places that she was a clerk, not a prison guard:
Here's a link to one:
http://www.nypost.com/news/nationalnews/20367.htm
"She was trained as an administrator - a paper pusher," her father, Kenneth England, told The Baltimore Sun. "At night, she would . . . see her buddies. They were the ones doing the interrogations."
I wrote that she didn't work in the prison, but she apparently technically did, processing paperwork. But at any rate, she is not a prison guard; her job title in the military is clerk. And she had no business being involved with anything other than pencil-pushing. That's what makes her lie about just following orders ridiculous, since the abuses took place when she was hanging out at night at the prison with her boyfriend, when she was off the clock, so to speak.
Besides, the military in Iraq are under governmental orders not to have sex with anyone over there -- not fellow soldiers, not civilians, no one. Shockingly, Little Miss Innocent didn't seem to have a problem disobeying *that* order!
Sprearhead!
