I think Spunky got the quote wrong---"he was their best friend" not "friend of al qaeda." Especially, if the moronic father thinks it was Iraqis and not AQ that killed his son.

If I got the quote wrong it was only in the word, "He was a friend of the Al Quada". It might have been, "He was a friend to the Al Quada.

Both my husband and I heard him say Al Quada, and if he didn't say it there would have been no need for the anchor to have said he meant to say "Friend to the Iraqi's."
