Are we sure it's a good idea to have women serving in these places? Sheesh. Whatta mess.

From the back page of Time:

And the female general in command was telling reporters last summer that conditions were so much nicer now at the prison that she was worried the prisoners "wouldn't want to leave" as thought she expected a spread soon in "House and Garden".

Liberals are using this incident as proof that the U.S. doesn't belong in Iraq. How is it any different for you to use it as proof that women don't belong in the military? Women do not have a monopoly on war crimes.

We can thank the feminazis and the wusses who allowed (and continue to allow) themselves to be intimidated by them for that. Women obviously shouldn't even be allowed anywhere near a combat zone. ...nor anywhere near a military Academy, for that matter.

Nope. I'm pretty sure it's a bad idea.

I don't think women belong in combat, or in "coed" prisons. It's just asking for trouble.

What we see here is just a small example of just how stupid it is to put some idea of "equality" ahead of common horse sense.

...what a mess...

Really! Dosn't anyone remember the Kassebaum report ? From an interview with Elaine Donnelly, president of the Center for Military Readiness, an independent think tank that specializes in military personnel issues, about the Pentagon's recommendations:

"I wouldn't say that the Kassebaum report was a knee-jerk response. I think it was well-written and had original conclusions that are grounded more in reality than in theory. A good sound personnel policy encourages discipline, not indiscipline. And to throw young men and women together in situations where they live and work and sleep together without any type of separation or privacy between the sexes is asking for trouble, and trouble is what we've seen.A sex club atmosphere developed at Aberdeen, and it exists at some of the basic training bases. There have been sexual tradeoffs between drill sergeants and trainees and sometimes abusive relationships. I see [the problems at] Aberdeen as a direct result of the gender-integration policies of the Army."

Gosh, that was 1997 - don't we ever learn?

Even Katherine, my better half, a Gulf War veteran agrees the military has gone way too far with men and women in the same units, etc...

The feminist movement was wanting full involvement with the services as far back in the early '70's. I think that it was calculated to destroy the American military. Thirty years later they have damned near accopmpised that feat.

All in the name of fairness this country faces a tremendous peril.

"Are we sure it's a good idea to have women serving in these places? "

Why isnt a single Senator asking that obvious but non-PCC question?

Women in coed military in remote postings + 'dont ask dont tell' = recipe for breakdown in unit discipline and morality.

We're definately sure women should not be in those places and this gives Rumsfeld and others the ability to completely overall the areas he wants.

And, videos showed the disgraced soldier - made notorious in a photo showing her holding a leash looped around an Iraqi prisoner's neck - engaged in graphic sex acts with other soldiers in front of Iraqi prisoners, Pentagon officials told NBC Nightly News.

Are we sure it's a good idea to have women serving in these places? Sheesh. Whatta mess.

LOL.....This stuff is hard to believe.

No Jim, but despite the appalling rates of out-of-wedlock births and the enormous degree that standards have dropped to accomodate the gals in uniform, nothing will be done: the quota's will continue, the standards will drop, etc.
