Some questions nobody's asking... yet.
If Nick Berg was killed to avenge the honor and dignity of Iraqi prisoners, why was it done by a non-Iraqi-- Jordanian terrorist Abu Al-Zarqawi?
Why didn't the Abu Ghraib abuse story cause millions of Iraqis to riot in the streets? There were a few hundred that protested for one day. Maybe most Iraqis realize who these prisoners were-- the same Saddam goons that made THEIR lives miserable!
Some media "geniuses" (Sy Hersh, Chrissy Matthews, Dan RAther) say the photos were taken so the prisoners could be threatened with balckmail. Then why are the prisoners faces covered and soldiers faces seen?
Why are some of the "former prisoners" going on TV to say "yes, that's me in the human pryamid, 3rd from the left on the bottom row. I am so ashamed." Are these guys idiots? Now we all know it's them! Are they hoping for "compensation?"
Just a few questions from someone who can think logically!
I believe the prisoners faces were hidden to purposely hide their identity from both any possible oversight authority and other detainees
I believe the photos were taken for the explicit use in interrogating future or other detainees. I believe someone ordered these grunts to take these pictures. I believe it was MI or CIA
If the identity of the detainee was exposed, then other detainees shown the picture might possibly take retribution within the confines of the prison, as well as take that information to the outside once released.
Further, if some of these prisoners later broke and became assets, then secrecy to their identity would be crucial.
