In general this is true. Muslims have no concept of free will. Allah doesn't offer them an opportunity to cooperate with grace. Allah is a tyrant God.

Muhammed is the greatest and last of the prophets. There will be no more prophets. There must be no change.

All this is hard for Christians, or those who have the good luck to have been born in cultures shaped by Christianity, to understand. We believe in free will. And we believe not that the basic moral laws can be changed but that we can have an evolving understanding of them.

One example is slavery. Christianity did not originally forbid slavery, but over time Christians have concluded that slavery is wrong and have relinquished it. Arabs have given up open slavery because the Europeans forced them to, but they see nothing wrong with it and still practice it widely. Muhammed took slaves, therefore slavery is and always will be authorized.

We must become independent of petroleum from the Middle East to do that. The whole terrorist thing, Iraq, Syria, only matters to us because of petroleum. We can't get it in Alaska or offshore because of environmental concerns, so we have no choice but to import it. Arab nations produce nothing but petroleum, and would quickly die off without the income from oil. I support the President on the hydrogen initiative, and I hope we can build nuclear plants to drive the production of hydrogen as a fuel source.
