So does this mean the CBS is directly responsible for the death of an American since they were the first to show the pictures?
To: Agnes Heep
Find that video, folks, and take a good, long look. I watched it last night. I agree everybody should see this. If you can't watch the video, at least listen to the audio.
I wonder, when most people hear the word "beheading", do they imagine some executioner with a big axe, a guillotine, or something quick and painless?
This was nothing like that...it was a horrifying, extremely brutal murder. It shows exactly what we're up against, and why they should be exterminated like the rabid animals that they are.
These are not human beings.

I was going to ask why there would still be demands for Rumsfeld to step down in light of Gen. Taguba's testimony yesterday, but see you note they mention it but it's still full steam ahead on the original talking point/plan.
It's evil and it's aggravating but it will abate eventually in the face of facts.

We are engaged in a information war. The international media and the U.S. media, in particular, are the battleground. Brook Hart is just doing what the killer's intended... sounding out a implicit propaganda line. They knew some ideological (or lazy) media person (I will not use the term journalist) would put forth this type of a statement. It is a small tactical victory in the info war. They have no rules... our side is held to very strict standards...
I have no trouble sorting through this but I am afraid that it does score in the psyche of many who follow events in a simplistic way.

Want to hear the sickest part?
Daniel Pearl was a journalist. Sicker still, he was married to a journalist. This means that you have a guy that was 'part of the club' beheaded by these animals, who was survived by a 'member of the club', and is a constant reminder of this fact - yet on they go.

The media is just trying to distract. The real point here is the Muslim terrorists brutally murdered a fellow American in cold blood. We should deal with these scum immediately and swiftly. George W. should bomb the hell out of them right now.
To: freekitty
The media was doing a great job over-covering the prison story until Al-Queda came in and stepped all over their lines.
Next time when it comes to denigrating America leave it to the experts.
To: magua
why are you watching cbs? are you helping their ratings? I should have clarified. I was listening to WJR (mostly conservative) talk radio in Detroit. I heard this on a short "CBS News break" this morning.
I don't watch TV.

And after Taguba said clearly in plain English that they were not acting on any orders! Why does that not surprise me? Donaldson can read between the lines and come up with a conclusion that directly contradicts what was clearly said. Clymer.
To: Williams
They did not kill him because of the prisoner abuse.
That statement was made to:
1. Hurt President Bush politically.
2. Give encouragement to the "We can't win this war" crowd.
3. Let ted kennedy and the other democrats know that they got the meaning of their "This is another Viet Nam chant"
4. They killed him to aid the "We need to get out of Iraq" crowd.
They killed him because he was an infidel.
They killed him because they knew that they could do it and get away with it.
One can state reasons why they killed him from now to doomsday and still would not be able to get to the "We killed him because of prisoner abuse" reason.

No. You do not exaggerate. This headline is absolutely absurd. Who's paying what price? Liberal spinners have lost all perspective...that's what happens when one's moral compass is broken.

It may take a while...but we are clearly heading in the direction where greater and greater atrocities will be performed and celebrated by the lunatic Islamists...
Sooner or later - this conflict will decend into "Old Testament" level of brutality and inhumanity....
America and her allies will come to realize that they must destroy or be destroyed..
That we must destroy the lunatic Islamists and ALL who stand with them...
It is STILL not inconceivable that great sections of the Islamic would will have to be reduced to radioactive rubble..
It will soon come down to "them or us"......I vote for their destruction....
I have next to no confidence that "moderate Islam" can survive the conflict -- unless they JOIN THE WAR against the lunatics that have come to LEADERSHIP POSITIONS IN THEIR FAITH...

She said that while that issue is decided, "an American contractor appears to have paid with his life" because the media decided to attack America day and night with propaganda.
