Unfortunately to my thinking, the opposite....his mission is poorly defined, clear family contacts with ANSWER, catches enough interest from the US government to be detained....what if previous radical Iraqi contacts subsequently came to regard him as CIA AFTER his detention and decided to "re-evaluate" their recently formed relationship?.....the family's insistence on his having been a Bush supporter just makes me think something else is going on here.

I can't help but thinking that this guy volunteered to be a "martyr for the cause". From other posts about him, he seems to be the type of liberal who just might do this.
