While my own personal outrage for his murder can only be matched by prayers for the family I cannot help but wonder if his father will wind up on Larry King Live denouncing the War on Terrorism.

(I discovered this while searching for a Web site for his consulting business. Kudos to doug from upland for posting the original list.)

There is more to this story than meets the eye. The odds of us ever knowing what was going on: virtually zero.

I would not put it past anyone of the A.N.S.W.E.R. persuasion to use the grisly execution OF THEIR OWN CHILDREN to further their communist agenda.

Indeed the father will be on King's propaganda are us show. He is already blaming the President, not the terrorists for his son's murder.

Maybe he wasn't like his dad but there were some questions surrounding why this guy was in Iraq... could it be that he was there for the same reason the Japanese activists-turned-hostages were in Iraq and things didn't go as planned?

PREDICTION: Michael Berg will be showcased at the International A.N.S.W.E.R. rally in DC, LA or SFO on June 5th and the media will take a pass on mentioning that even now International A.N.S.W.E.R. says on it's website:

Having achieved their victory, however, the occupiers now confront a people who have a long and proud his- tory of resistance. The anti-war movement here and around the world must give its unconditional support to the Iraqi anti-colonial resistance.

"Unconditional Support" is unconditional. Therefore, A.N.S.W.E.R. supports those who killed Nick Berg. And Michael Berg supports A.N.S.W.E.R.

Do we know for sure it's the Father?

Berg is a rather common name.

You can be certain that Berg's murderers knew about this. This is a fine example of how the Islamists repay their allies.

This young man was brutally murdered by a bunch of Islamofascist thugs. I don't have much concern for the likes of his dad but why even bother to bring it up when what we should be doing is honoring the young man slain and reminding everyone that this is the true face of Islam

Here are a few SHORT EXCERPTS from www.detnews.com:
...Berg’s mother, Suzanne, said her son was in Iraq as an independent businessman to help rebuild communication antennas. Berg owned a communications equipment company, Prometheus Methods Tower Service Inc., she said...

-- snip --

...Berg had traveled several times to Third World countries to help spread technology, his family said. He had previously traveled to Kenya and Ghana, where they said he had bought a $900 brick-making press for a poor village, the family said.

Michael Berg described himself as fervently anti-war, but said his son disagreed. “He was a Bush supporter,” Berg said. “He looked at it as bringing democracy to a country that didn’t have it.”

Michael Berg lashed out at the U.S. military and Bush administration, saying his son might still be alive if he had been allowed to leave the country on March 30, as he had originally planned...

Perhaps after they kidnapped him, the killers singled him for a video execution once they determined who his dad was.

Since internal US dissent is worth more to them than a more united US, perhaps they were banking on his dad blaming Bush for his son's death.
