Older Arabic traditions called for the person to be executed to run in the desert. The Arab would approach on horseback with a curved sword which had been placed in a fire to become red hot. The Arab would decapitate the running victim in one blow. The hot blade was intended to catarize the blood vessals at the neck. The body would continue to run for about a 100 yds to a 1/4 mile before falling from being off balance. The severed head would have the conscious person in it, until he lost consciousness from oxygen depletion. Thinking would continue for up to 5 minutes to 15 minutes by some accounts of observation.

The intent of these murderers was clearly criminal and without legitimate authority. Had they sincerely sought justice, they would not have executed the person in a painful fashion, but rather simply with a bullet or any number of other methods.

They lacked righteousness in that the executioner chose a method of execution where he had to quench any conscient resistance of his own soul to such a painful and terror promoting execution. Instead he scarred his own soul moreso and is more prone to similar criminal activity in the future. Not only is he now more dangerous, but any group with him as a member will not be able to responsibly employ him in any responsible capacity. He's good for nothing, perhaps a candidate as a suicide bomber in their books.

Considering the number of torture cells within Baathist Iraq for the past 30 years, I suspect there are many others of similar lacking moral fibre somewhere in that region. IMHO, it's far smarter to mold the situation where those of that ilk remain in that vicinity than migrate away from the consequences they have reaped.

some of us want to write off all of them because it makes it easier. they are different to us, so its easy to attribute the actions of some to all. ITS THEIR VERSION OF 'YOU ARE EITHER WITH US OR AGAINST US' for the people they are trying to capture to their movement. every time they take an act like this, we need to realise it isnt a random act committed just because people hate america, its an act committed to further the global split, the polarisation that is occurring all according to the plan. i keep getting accused of sympathising with the muslims or the terrorists here, but im not. I THINK YOU ARE ALL MISSING THE REAL MASTER PLAN HERE. they want to world to split, they want you to hate them, and they want you to hate those people that previously did not support the terrorism, the families and normal people in those countries.

every time you bulk them all in together, every time you look at the acts of some and attribute them to all, they win a victory. they want you to see all muslims as the enemy because then all muslims must be with them, because we become their enemy.

im not saying stop fighting them, im saying recognise that there are more ways to fight, more battles than just guns and bombs.

I could care less about the abuses at Abu Graib. I don't like that it reflects poorly on our troops. But I don't mind a few eggs broken.

I do. We must be systematic and totally professional. We should medicate those we interrogate but not abuse nor torture them. Simply medicate them and systematically extract all relevant information. Execute those with blood on their hands after they are of no further use in the War on Terror, not out of malice but for justice. Give them a fair trial and a fast hanging. They are not POWs but rather unlawful combatants.
