Kristinn just called me and asked me to post this thread.

He just called CBS Evening News and asked them if they were going to show the militant Islamists' video of the beheading of American Nick Berg.

The woman who answered the phone said that they were going to do a story on it, but they were NOT going to show the full video.

He asked them, "Why not, since you had no problem showing the pictures of the Iraqis being abused by our guys in the prison. Don't you think turnabout is fair play?"

The woman got mad and said, "Thank you for your comment." and then hung up the phone.

I have tried to unsuccessfully download it but now I don't think I will. I am already angry and there is NOTHING I can do about it-just seeing the video will make me feel that much more hopeless.

I don't watch CNN and I haven't since my husband left for Afghanistan(2001). They were clearly Pro-terrorist, especially Christian Amanpour.

First thing I did when I heard about this this afternoon was call my local CBS Atlanta affiliate. Don't know why that was my first reaction.

I was directed to the programming director for the station and I had to leave a message. I told her that her airing 60 Minutes II left blood on her hands and that I was taking CBS off the remote (I did that way back).

I later called CNN when I heard they were not reporting on the story. The CNN guy told me they showed the story and they "couldn't run it over and over". I asked about how they could run the prison abuse photos over and over. He hung up on me.

I then called CBS. I was again hung up on.

The media and I don't like eachother.

Freeped....didn't get the girl's name who answered but she said their phones are ringing off the wall, because "someone" published their private newroom line on the web...I can't imagine anyone doing that...it amazes me how upset the liberal media gets when they don't have TOTAL control!! The gal said she agreed with me and it should be aired but it wasn't her decision

I just called and the poor woman at the phones is beside herself. She is there alone and the phones are going to beat the band!!!!!! She put me on hold three times in less than a minute to try and answer other calls. I told her I am APPAULED at CBS and that I will NEVER watch their station again. That they are aiding and abetting the enemy. BOY AM I MAD!!!!!!!!!!!

I politely asked her if cbs would apologize for the photos that directly led to the death of an american.
"No we have nothing to apologize for" then hangs up

I called back and asked the same thing.
She said I was entitled to my opinion and hung up.

Terrible. After watching it and then going to the comment board of that website I can see why the media does not want you to see it. It would instantly turn public opinion in favor of a fast and furious escalation of the effort in Iraq.

After weeks, months of trying as hard as they can to turn public opinion with their propaganda (and that is not too strong of a word) the media in this country could not have the truth come out. It does not fit their agenda.

Hung up on me when I repeatedly asked if they aired the video after she insisted they reported the story. That really was weasel talk, she knew it and I knew it.

Before she hung up on me she said, everyone on the east coast has gone home already.
