He then directed his driver into the enemy trench, where he exited his vehicle and began to clear the trench with an M16A2 service rifle and 9 millimeter pistol. His ammunition depleted, Chontosh, with complete disregard for his safety, twice picked up discarded enemy rifles and continued his ferocious attack.

Damn. First I've heard of this.

Thanks for a great post.

Very, very nice story that you won't find in any major news media.
Courage, what a concept, for everyone from the President down to the babysitter.
There are different types of courage and you don't hear about all of them even though we should.

We still seem to have a few good men. They deserve better oversignt than the backstabbing Carl Levin, Hillary Clinton, Edward M. Kennedy, and Daniel Akaka, are giving them, don't they?

"When a Marine following him found an enemy rocket propelled grenade launcher, Chontosh used it to destroy yet another group of enemy soldiers."

I like this part, his backup finds an RPG and hands it to him, whereupon the Captain uses it to flatten several of the enemy.
Irelevantly, I wonder if he yelled, "How do you like me NOW?!" when he fired it.

Thanks for the article Vanderleun, and Tonk, thanks for the ping.
Excellent article.

It is they who are not worthy of him.

And there's lots more like him serving our country.

Well said.

Great post, the only problem found in this article is the fact that noone heard about this through the "major news media". It will contiue to be ignored because it doesn't further the peacenik/dimocRatic/leftist news media's agenda.

Our Fore Fathers could never have imagined that liberals ( critters not yet evolved in their time)would one day cause PRESS, as in free press, in only a couple of centries, to be interpreted as:

P-punks
R-resonating
E-enemy
S-sob
S-stories

This ain't our fore father's press.

Capt. Brian R. Chontosh got some more exposure today.
His story got read on The Hugh Hewitt Show today (www.hughhewitt.com).
So, his tale has been broadcast on a major Los Angeles radio station, Hewitt's affiliate
stations and live on the net.
