Loftus: Al Qaeda defector spilled beans during Clinton administration
John Batchelor program - WABC radio (New York)

John Loftus on the John Batchelor program says that in spring of 2000, an Al Qaeda defector walked into the Newark, NJ office of the FBI and told them of plans to crash planes into buildings.
(After this statement I didn't hear too clearly what was being said, but I believe Loftus said the FBI thought the plot sounded crazy and let the guy go. Loftus said the FBI was sick and tired of people like John O'Neill --who was later to die in the WTC-- constantly warning that Al Qaeda was going to attack; so they didn't want to hear what the defector said and just dismissed him.)
This defector, he says, is now living in a British safe house.

I should add that John O'Neill was a deputy director of the FBI and head of the counterterrorism office there. He left in August 2001 to become security chief for the World Trade Center. He died there on September 11, 2001.
O'Neill's warnings about Al Qaeda's planning a major attack on U.S. soil proved prescient.

He also said that this defector's story
which he has known about for a long time
recently was reported in the London Times.

I didn't post a link since I don't think you'll find this information on WABC radio's website.
I just related what I heard on the John Batchelor show (which I believe has national syndication) a few minutes ago.

Thanks, I'll see if I can find the story in the London Times

Here's one Times of London Story. There may be better stories but this is all I could find for the moment. (Not linked because you have to register and search archive, at least for this article):

THE failure to follow up the Manchester mans disclosure to the FBI in March 2000 that Al-Qaeda operatives were moving into America to hijack a plane and fly it into a building was one of a string of missed opportunities to avert the September 11 attacks. The US commission investigating 9/11 has said the FBI and CIA did not act on what can be seen as strong leads to an enemy that had long claimed to be preparing massive strikes.
This is partly because the FBIs counterterrorism department was small and underfunded. Efforts were hampered by an antiquated computer system and rivalries between the FBI and CIA. When the CIA realised two Al-Qaeda operatives were in the country it did not tell the FBI for months and did so only 19 days before they flew a jet into the Pentagon. In May 2001 a caller to the American embassy in the United Arab Emirates said an Al-Qaeda cell was planning an onslaught. In July 2001 a Phoenix FBI agent wrote that terrorists might be attending flight-training schools in America. His memo was dismissed. |

Loftus also says that many of the Iraq prison pics were done by an s&m "porno ring" run by the man that impregnated the Backwoods Bitch. the pics were possed for money (as I thought).

Let's see, Loftus has been showing up with Batcheler for two years now. He's predicted everything but the asteroid impact. I've fallen for his riff, but not anymore. Like his host on WABC he's consistent. He's always wrong. DEBKA is as good a source.

I am just so frustrated with the media trying to place blame on Bush when it is so clear who should they should be pointing the finger at. I can't believe Clinton can sleep at night. GOD Bless George W. Bush

he is not always wrong. but alot of the stories he talks about pop up, and then get buried. like the jordanian WMD attack, or the story about Al-Zahwari possibly being killed in Pakistan.
