[history]
There can be little doubt that legal actions against Rush Limbaugh are politically motivated. The radio commentator with 20 million listeners is one of the most able communicators of conservative political ideas in America. It is hard to imagine that the historic Republican takeover of Congress in 1994 would have happened without Mr. Limbaugh articulating the virtues of smaller government day in and day out over the airwaves. It is no surprise that liberals would sink to any level to try to silence such an important conservative voice. But the evidence against Mr. Limbaugh's accusers is not merely circumstantial. The case they have made and how they have made it exposes the whole prosecution as a partisan witchhunt.

Do you think he will really file one or just let this thing ride off into the sunset?

"Limbaugh is hardly the exception, but a well known rule."
If youve been following the case in Palm Beach, youd know he IS the exception.

Sure Rush had a problem but he dealt with as a real man would. Rush just needs to watch out for Hitlery's Gestapo. I'm of the many thats got his back.

Sure Rush had a problem but he dealt with as a real man would. When did getting caught for a crime become a mark of a "real man"?
Coming forward beforehand might make that mark but not getting caught for something you yourself berate others for.

My wife is a medical professional, she sees patients almost every day who have the same problem Mr. Limbaugh had, Rx drug abuse is a very common problem.
What surprises me about FR is the multiple of comments made by so called conservatives, makes me wonder how many of them are RATS in sheep's clothing?

You're saying there are not people prosecuted (or attempted to be prosecuted) because a democrat is the prosectutor and a pesky republican has commited a minor crime or vice versa and the prosecution is not political motivation? C'mon.

When is the last time you made a mistake. Unless you have sat in the "hot seat" for three hours a day 15 hours per week, even at a lower level you have no idea of what it's like. It is a different world. One can only imagine the pressure--much self imposed that there is. He is a great conservative leader and if anyone deserves a little slack it's Rush.

Two things:
1. Although I think that Rush did permanent harm to his career because of his ideology and line of business he is in when this broke, if people do not think there is a double standard here they need to look closer. Brett Favre announced he had an addiction to pain killers and he was heralded as a man of great courage and a role model to all. Do you think that he did that on his own fruition or because of the fear that his problem was going to be made public? I don't know, but I am sure that is something that one would like to keep quiet.
2. If Rush did develop this addiction due to back surgery and was medicating his own pain, (which I concede is illegal) shouldn't that medical community hold some culpability. I have watched a few doctors who spoke of this and said that many Americans suffer needlessly due to under-prescribing pain medication and that could have very well been the case with Rush.
Just a few thoughts.........

The DNC will regret these gestapo tactics one day. Rush has spent the last 15 years leading the conservative debate. And even without him, his legacy will speak loudly for decades to come.
Thank you Rush.

Well then, let's give ol Slick a little slack too. Hey, only in the office for a little over a couple of months and there's Waco. And, hey, how about Monica. When you're in the hotseat 24/7 and married to Hilliary to boot, a man will stray. And how about those words used about WMD's while straifing Iraq in 98. Good gosh, when you've got a hostile republican congress hot on your tail, you've got to seek emotional escape somehow. Hey what the heck, say Saddam has illegal weapons and drop a few bombs in the no fly zone. And let's face, most of those situations were self imposed too!
To: rodguy911
And I guess if we had a less than great liberal leader we aren't supposed to cut some slack?

I am saying that a Palm Beach judge was abusing Oxy Coitin and all he had to do was go to re-hab. no charges filed

The paw prints of the clintoons are all over Rush's troubles. Don't ever underestimate what the clintoons will do to squelch their enemies.
