Great and thanks for the invite. I don't have time to do a beer, but what can I bring? I can cook so don't mind adding in.

I'll send some instructions later, but I'm thinking each person brings what they want to drink, and one side item to share (beans, slaw, dessert item, whatever). I'll have hamburgers, hot dogs, and some sausages/brats. If you want a different meat, you can bring it- like a nice Spotted Owl Steak.

I'll post another notice in the weeks ahead. If you know what you want to bring, you can put dibs on it now.

I have received notice that there are conflicts for a number of people that were planning to come. This is to be expected when trying to plan something like this way in advance.

So I have decided to put this off till later in the summer. That way more people can likely attend. It will be closer to the start of real campaigning as well. I hope this hasn't put any at an inconvenience but it will be more fun if we have more than eight to ten people.

Have a wonderful memorial day.

I've got an 8 year old and two 10 year olds myself, so we can probably include a few mini Freepers! Mine have all been to a couple of Freep events (McKinney, and Pro Troops). This one will be all "friendlies". I'll let you know when it is rescheduled.

No prob, you are the host..you set the rules as you see fit. Do let us know if kids are included. I don't care either way, but makes a difference on numbers.

Maybe I wasn't clear, I was saying that kids were no problem. By "friendlies" I meant it would be all "good" people and no counter-protestors to deal with.

I have one extra good ticket for Boortz event at the Fox Theater tonight- 11th row center -- with Neal Boortz, Oliver North, Sean Hannity and Zell Miller, plus others. If any of you can make it, it starts at 8pm (I could give you a ride if north side of Atlanta).

Let me know soon if you are interested.

Dang, I sure missed this ping.

I hate the fact that I was one of those that couldn't have made the FReep a Q if it were held today. I knew when you set the date I would be unavailable due to work.

There are two big technology trade shows during June. Infocomm in Atlanta and Supercomm in Chicago. We had 20 major clients attending both shows, and our shop did major renovations and additions to most of their booths before they shipped.

Clients are being a lot looser on the purse strings this year.(It's Bush's fault!)

But after June, our workload looks pretty light until August, so I'm fairly open for anything in July and August.

I'd love to, but I can't. Boortz is a great speaker.
