I freepmailed Archy yesterday, to make sure he saw this thread, and to see if he'd be interested in making the trip down here, if we sweetened the pot with an early AM range trip. Great minds think alike, and all that.

I'm thinking Wilson Shoals, rather than Charlie Elliot. Probably a better location, given Rob's location. I've never been to that one, but if it's like the two others I've been to (Charlie Elliot and John's Mountain up towards Chattanooga), it'll do fine. We need to be there when the range opens, is my experience, on Saturdays.

Watch this space, TBD, I'd say.

Rob, this guy brews his own beer, or has in the past. If I were you, I think I'd require him to bring a few for the host, if he's got any.

Foxfire4 and I may be doing a craft show in North Carolina that weekend, but we'll see. If we're available we'll try and make it over from Columbia!

Please give us some idea where Wilson Shoals is - and if it's handgun friendly, too. We'll definitely be interested in being there prior to Rob's shindig.

Tet - ping to the latest shooting plans!

I'm not sure where wilson shoals is , Charlie Elliot is
out I-20 east at the mansfield exit, about 40 minutes from
downtown, 50 and 100 yd ranges, covered with benches,
have to supply your own target stands.

Seems like there was a police range up 85 around the
area of the Bass Pro that was open to the public on certain days but I'm not sure about that one.
A while back I was researching places to shoot and
came across that one, will see what I can find.

Mostly shoot milsurplus, mausers, m/ns (a lot of nagants), fals,SKS,turks, swiss, etc.
we have a bullet stop at work so shoot .45 there.

Just got my CCW renewed for the third time and have
never had to use it.
I live in Villa Rica now and just got my
amended C&R license so the big brown truck can
start delivering again. (I do so love getting guns delivered!) Especially like them slathered in cosmolene
cause cleaning them is half the fun.

Up 985, an exit or two past Gainesville.

I'm *way* overdue for a rifle range trip. And you can set targets out at pistol range distance, too.

That works for us. As the time gets closer, please let us know what time, etc. and we will be there with bells on!

You *****Rock***** tet! I'm reading my comments backwards (I'm a lefty (*hand* not ideology!), so please forgive me) and came across this gem. Thank you for the accurate info.

This works for .45MAN and I since we are north of town. How does it work for you?

We're on our first CCW - long story how it came about. Will tell you when we see you.

Would love to get one in the state of FL but am waiting to see if we can relocate back there beforehand because ti will be a lot cheaper as a resident. Meanwhile, they reciprocate and that's good because we go back and forth a lot.

We don't have rifles yet, but have shot some of FreedomPoster's. .45MAN is looking into getting a good, basic Savage that we can add onto.

I envy you your C&R - it makes purchasing online so mych easier.

I don't have enough time to make any. The winter batch is gone and I cranked up the fridge to resume lagering, but nothing is fermenting at the moment. That was my first thought too since I have keg capability.

I can try, but it may not be done in time.

I live in Quitman.
that's a looooong haul for a BBQ.
512 mile round trip by my reckoning.
I reckon I'll have to pass.
thanks, though.
