Drug-proof gonorrhea rises in homosexuals

A drug-resistant form of gonorrhea with an overwhelmingly disproportionate effect on homosexuals is making its way eastward from Hawaii and California, according to the federal Centers for Disease Control & Prevention.
The data presented "show that drug resistant gonorrhea is a rapidly emerging health concern, particularly for gay and bisexual men," the CDC's STD prevention director John Douglas told reporters last week.
Incidences of the drug-resistant disease are 12 times higher for homosexual and bisexual men than for other men, based on data acquired in clinics from 30 U.S. cities between 2002 and 2003, the Washington Blade reported.
Homosexual men are resistant to flouroquinolones, a type of antibiotic used to treat bacterial ailments, including gonorrhea and urinary tract infections, said the newspaper, which caters to homosexuals.
Drug-resistant gonorrhea cases among homosexuals jumped from 1.8 percent to 4.9 percent between 2002 and 2003, the CDC said.
Douglas pointed out undiagnosed and untreated gonorrhea also facilitates HIV infection.
"There is mounting evidence these increasing STD rates are fueled by a variety of factors," he said, including relaxed safer sex practices, substance abuse, crystal methamphetamine use and the availability of the Internet for meeting sex partners.
Dr. Kenneth Mayer, medical research director at Fenway Community Health in Boston noted that since gonorrhea is transmitted sexually, if a homosexual man is infected with a drug-resistant strain, it is more likely to remain within homosexual circles and cause the strain to be amplified there, the Blade reported.

Why can't the body politic understand what God has been teaching for time out of mind?
That's easy. When Eve disbelieved and wanted to test God in the Garden of Eden, man decided henceforth to do things "his way." Remember Frank Sinatra's popular "My Way" song. Many probably think that more government funding of research can correct this latest problem of the sexual revolution.

Isn't it amazing how politically powerful is this 2-3 percent of the national population?

Oh, it has to be "disproportionate!"
After all, liberal fanatics are the last to admit that things people do have anything to do with their health. But not really.
They don't apply that logic to people who smoke, to people who don't eat the right food, to people who don't exercise. They only apply that "logic" to behavior related to sex. Why?
Why? Because the war against nature and sexual teleology is required to destroy the bourgeois family, the source of all inequality.

Homosexual men are resistant to flouroquinolones, a type of antibiotic?
I'll bet WND would love it if they had an anti-biotic that would wipe out gay people.

The only sure cure: cut it off.

Now we have this to thank the gays for in addition to AIDS, the re-emergence of Tuberculosis, and other diseases which become super-bugs in the bodies of promiscuous gays.
Eventually, expect this to jump to the heterosexual community as well.

With a good enough OJ attorney, I'll be renting the CDC back to the CDC this time next year!

Homosexual Agenda Ping - Surprise, Surprise! Homosexual men have a high rate of STDs. That's news?
BTW, what does "12 times higher" mean in percentages? I would like to see bumper stickers that say "Homosexuality is not normal or natural and is likely to kill you!"
Let me know if anyone wants on/off this pinglist.

Let the cleansing begin...I am not at all 'saddened' by this news...

Thanks for the ping - and I am, and I hope you are too.
I always appreciate being alerted to relevant articles.

How long can we afford to allow the twisted life styles of what is said to be only 1% of the population, gobble up the lions share of medical research funds for their avoidable diseases?
How long can what deviates do in their bed rooms between consenting adults, remain none of our business, if they come out of their bed rooms regularly whining for everyone else to drop all other research and bankrupt ourselves finding cures for diseases caused by what is none of our business?
Without a doubt they will find ways to make this everybodie's disease, as they have with AIDS, but the source is obvious.

So you think that the editors of WND are so hateful and evil that they wish people ensnared in the homosexual life should all die?
What kind of childish transference is that?
I spend a lot of time pinging people to articles about the homosexual agenda, and why? Because I "hate" them and wish them dead?
Or is it because I am sorely grieved about all the young people who are getting ensnared in the lies the radical homosexuals and their minions are spreading? Could it be because I wish that those who are living the lie of "homosexuality" could learn the truth and change their lives? Could it be that I wish that those who know the truth - that homosexuality is not genetic, not normal, natural, healthy, or moral - learn more, learn the facts, and enlighten others? So that others won't lead miserable, sick, sinful lives while dragging others into the same wretchedness?
What about scripter, who posted some links above? He's done a heroic job compiling more information about homosexuality than probably anywhere on the web. Do you think he wishes all homosexuals would die? What do you think motivates him? I think he is motivated by the same things I am.
I wish you'd rethink your statement.
To: xm177e2; scripter
I knew my brain was short-circuiting - it's PROJECTION, not transference! Duh!

Sometimes, they do listen to God. There's increasing evidence that gay men can leave the gay lifestyle and have healthy, married (to a woman) lives. Failing that, many gay men are celibate (chaste), because they know the dangers and understand their responsibility to avoid the risk to themselves and others that gay sex represents.
One question I've been curious about: is there any data on what fraction of gay men eventually leave the lifestyle? If you look at data such as obituary notices, you might reach the conclusion that gay men tend to die young (as indicated by the controversial research of Paul Cameron). But I strongly suspect that hordes of gay men actually leave the lifestyle, which would produce the same statistical outcome. A much happier outcome indeed, particularly if you believe, as do I as a Christian, in the possibility of redemption.
