Sometimes, they do listen to God. There's increasing evidence that gay men can leave the gay lifestyle and have healthy, married (to a woman) lives. Failing that, many gay men are celibate (chaste), because they know the dangers and understand their responsibility to avoid the risk to themselves and others that gay sex represents.
One question I've been curious about: is there any data on what fraction of gay men eventually leave the lifestyle? If you look at data such as obituary notices, you might reach the conclusion that gay men tend to die young (as indicated by the controversial research of Paul Cameron). But I strongly suspect that hordes of gay men actually leave the lifestyle, which would produce the same statistical outcome. A much happier outcome indeed, particularly if you believe, as do I as a Christian, in the possibility of redemption.

Have you checked the Homosexual Categorical Index of links? A link to it is usually posted on the Homosexual Agenda Ping list, of which my humble self is the authorized pinger. Scripter and EdReform are master researchers and computer smart-people who have collected and organized more information about every aspect of homosexuality than there is probably anywhere in the world.
Here are two starters:
