MADRID, Spain — The fingerprints of the American attorney arrested as a material witness in the Madrid train bombings were found on a plastic shopping bag that held detonators like the ones used in the deadly March 11 terrorist attacks.

At what point are we grateful to government investigators for preventing terror attacks or capturing guilty terrorists?

When they stop letting known terrorists into the U.S.

Instead, having screwed up, they then try to impose socialist terror on us innocents, by cramming a National-Socialist Identification System in through the back door, "For The Children". (See my next post). Now we all have to show papers to whatever-two bit Government droid happens to want them, to prove that we're not one of the Islamikazis that they've let into the country.

This year your social security name must match the same name on your driver's license or no renewal as my wife found out. This is another Homeland Security security precaution.

No, it's not. It's "For The Children".

Read the card that comes with your driver's license renewal. It says that Oregon is now just conforming to a law rammed through by the Clinton Administration (all bow), requiring States to provide National-Socialist Security Numbers for anyone getting a driver's license, fishing license, breathing license, eating license, sleeping license, thinking license, etc. etc. *if the State wants to continue sucking on the Federal tit OOPS EXCUSE ME receiving subsidies from Uncle Bug-Breath. Oregon just now got around to violating your rights OOPS EXCUSE ME making its contribution to "Tracking Down Deadbeat Dads" by forcing everyone, innocent or guilty, to provide das Nazional-Socializstiche Sekuritennumberen - or you vill be schOTT!!! Sieg Heil!!!

Yeah, yeah, Rah rah rah... it's For The Children... it's For National Security... it's...

oh, never mind. There's nothing to see here. Let's "move on". Let's all go back to our Oprah and NFL. This is all about somebody else. We've got nothing to hide.

yaaawwwwwnnnnn........

Oh, the shame of actually being able to track down the abettors of mass murder. What would the Founders think about a government actually able to protect the nation?

That makes sense until you recall that this article is about a homegrown Muslim citizen.

To bring out a "source" from the US, for a European operation, sounds awful strange. These Moroccoan dudes could easily acquire and hook up the explosives...there is almost no reason for this guy to be on the scene. What I could see, is that he was there to get explosives training from these guys and prepare a simliar event in Oregon. Amtrak runs a line up there, and it could be a easy event to run a similar scenario.

If I were the Spanish cops...I'd put him in the holding cell with a bunch of long-term detainees. Let him get use to rough treatment from the prison population, and then give him a chance to talk, for a private cell. My guess is that he will point out several US contacts and we bring down a cell in Oregon/Washington. The real question here....how many cells are there? Thats what I would start to worry about.

You're right. I wondered if you'd penetrate the cloud of my arguments.

Now then... the question becomes, "Shouldn't we require fingerprinting of all U.S. citizens, even if it only enables us to catch just ONE Islamikazi"?

"Shouldn't we ban firearms, if it saves the life of just one child?" What sort of tyranny are we beckoning in the future, by giving up our freedoms now, in the name of more easily corraling scum like this leftist lawyer?

This rodent may have gone on committing depradations if they hadn't had its fingerprints. But is that an argument for putting the tools of a totalitarian police state in the hands of the U.S. Government?

I don't have ready answers to these questions (though I am sure there are those on this forum who will be willing to weigh in, imperiously, with all sorts of divine proclamations). But I am sure of one thing: I, personally, am not willing to give up one tiny, microscopic little iota of freedom to this Government unless and until it FIRST - FIRST - FIRST fixes ITS little "Problem" with immigration, and political correctness, and closes the borders, and starts wholesale deportations of the rodents who have no right to be here. Until that time, anything this Government (all bow) asks ME to give up in the name of "Security" is pure, unadulterated hypocrisy. < < here imagine the sound of the bolt on an M14 being cycled... > >

Mayfield, who is 37, comes from a family of non-church-goers, Alexander told The Associated Press.

Symtomatic of those who opt for designer religions or feel-good philosophies in place of a real religion.

The soul needs spirituality just like the body needs food and nutrition. If the counterfeit religions of the left fail to provide it, then Islamofacism will fill the vacuum. I remember this every Sunday morning when I'd rather laay in bed than take my family to church. I do not want my daughters to mary a designer Christian or an Islamofacist.

"Are you saying that once any agency, no matter how local, has your prints, they are available to any agency in the world? That is a bit scary."

Well, I'm not sure if what you say is accurate, but first off I'd say the US Military is hardly "local", it must be a huge data base.

What I'm wondering about is, I doubt they took whatever prints they found and checked them against every available data base, even a big one, filled with mostly male data like the US Military.

They must have had some other reason to search out this guy, don't you think?

And him being a Muslim convert and lawyer for terrorists? It really seems they must have had some clue as to whose prints they were looking for, don't you think?

Have we verified that he was in Spain? His fingerprints could've gotten on the bag here, after which the bag was shipped to Spain. He could've shipped it? I'm just throwing out random thoughts here, in case he wasn't actually in Spain at all, but did his part from here.

Actually in California, my wife and others who renewed their licenses this year were told that it was part of the Homeland Defense Act at the DMV.

The first part was the finger prints that I had to do last year to renew my license.

This year the name on your drivers license had to exactly match the name on your drivers license. My wife's Ca license used her full first and the first letter of her middle name. Her social sec card had the full names.

She had to go to the Social Security Office and have her Social Security card changed to match exactly the way her driver's license was. The lady at the the Social Security Office who did the change, said that she did about 5 of these each day. She like the people at Ca DMV said that it was the new part of the Home Land Security act that went in effect 1 Jan this year. Our CPA has had dozens of her clients with the same experience.

Maybe Oregon was that way. Now it is apparently a national law that the name on the Drivers license must match the Social Security Card.

Your comments are a superb analysis of these people:

The soul needs spirituality just like the body needs food and nutrition. If the counterfeit religions of the left fail to provide it, then Islamofacism will fill the vacuum. I remember this every Sunday morning when I'd rather laay in bed than take my family to church. I do not want my daughters to mary a designer Christian or an Islamofacist.

We have seen an interesting trend with people our age. They attended church on a regular basis when their children were growing up. When the last kid went to college or away, they became C&E's.

However, when that first grandchild was born and baptized in the church, many started attending again on a regular basis. I have kidded some of the born agains, and they admitted that the grandchild got them back into regular church attendance.

We never stopped attending.

Want to contact the brother of Brandon, Kent Mayfield, the one who has been saying stuff like....oh:

"At least half of us realize that this is a crooked administration," Kent Mayfield said. "This is still a free country, but look what happens if you voice that."

"He definitely has been wrongly detained," he said. "My brother's life is in jeopardy for being profiled by the FBI for his faith and for his vocal criticism of this administration."

Let's show him some free speech, folks. I saw him on the local news last night, and he said the "Bush administration" was "targeting" Brandon because of his anti-Bush views.

This moron should not be teaching in a public school, but he is, the Hutchinson, KS, school district. Beause of this, you can contact him at the school e-mail account he has.

mayfieldk@usd308.com

Want to contact his biological mother (he also has a stepmom quoted on this page)? His biological mom has been saying stuff like this:

"This is mainly a case of the government trying to prove to the public that they're on the job, and they're using the Patriot Act to disrupt lives, destroy careers and shatter families," she said.

"The public needs to be more aware of the broad powers this government has gotten to get into our lives using the Patriot Act. We need to act quickly to do away with it before more citizens are terrorized."

mayfielda@usd308.com

WANT TO DEMAND THAT THESE TWO TEACHERS, WHO JOINED THE HUTCH DISTRICT ONLY IN 2001, BOTH BE FIRED? HERE IS THE E-MAIL FOR THE SUPERINTENDENT, WYNONA WINN:

Just posted this:

Number Found at Spain Site Leads to Arrest (Madrid Train bombing )

And included in the article we have:

_________________________________________________

On Thursday, the FBI arrested an American lawyer, Brandon Mayfield, 37, in the United States as a material witness in the case.

Spanish officials say at least one of Mayfield's fingerprints were found on a plastic bag containing detonators of the kind used in the attacks. The bag was found in a van left near the station from which three of the four trains bombed on March 11 departed. U.S. officials said a single print of Mayfield's was found on the bag.

The newspaper El Pais reported Saturday that Spanish investigators have serious doubts as to whether the print is Mayfield's. They have no record of him traveling to Spain recently, and experts found only eight points of similarity between the print and the one of Mayfield held in U.S. files because of his status as a former member of the Army. The FBI said it found 15 such points, El Pais said.

The Interior Ministry declined to comment on the report.

I dunno... What would the Founders think about a Government which issues photo identification and requires everyone to carry it before they're allowed to get on the road with their horse-and-buggy?

Hmmmmmm????????

I think anyone traveling those roads who were unknown to the area would fall under immediate suspicion and could well find themselves under the questions of a sheriff or justice of the peace. This would be true particularly during conditions of War.

People are often subject to an indeologically imposed delusion about the freedom of our forefathers who, in actuality, lived under the eye of their neighbors and were expected to live up to a moral code far more strict than ours. Thus, those things we take for granted such as freedom of opinion (say speaking against slavery in the South) or association (say, an adulterous relationship) often found the participant run out of town on a rail, fined or put in stocks. In some states refusal to serve on Slave Patrol provoked fines.

The degree of Social control as well as legal that our forefathers lived under was often very high and for many TOTAL. No tyranny we can even pretend to predict comes close to the tyranny of Slavery under which millions suffered and many more degraded.
